Well, my guess is inaccurate means
"We need to say something and this is the best we can do without giving away Zeppelin before the announcement considering there is still a chance that the band may back out and not be ready to play 'roo until 2009, but really we're pretty sure they're headling and they are going to rock your socks off"
you can see how inaccurate is easier to say.
And I don't see Plant/Kraus Headlining.....unless it was Plant and friends (with krauss being one of the friends) and the set was extrememly heavy on LZ tunes.
More than likely, LZ will headline and Plant and Krauss will be a pre-headliner act on a different night from Zep...
Sorry for the length

In regards to the whole "inaccurate" thing - this could mean several things:
1. Metallica not playing, Zeppelin is playing
2. Metallica is playing, Zeppelin not playing
3. Metallica and Zeppelin both not playing
4. Metallica not playing, Plant/Krauss playing - this is what i believe the "inaccurate" thing really means
5. Metallica and Plant/Krauss both playing
I'm really hoping that they give Plant/Krauss a headlining spot, but I hope it leads into an unannounced suprise Zeppelin show

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this girl who heard Zeppelin is defiantly playing the Roo and also saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night.
I NEVER said a little bird told me. I simply know how the industry works (lighting companies, promotions, merchandise). I could care less what you think to be honest. I thought this place was about "vibes?" Yeah right. I won't remind anyone of anything, except how there are some snotty children around here.
My apologies, my post was probably a bit over the top. I guess all I was trying to say was that if what you're saying is a guess based on industry experience, then just say that. If you really do have knowledge of a signed contract, please elaborate. Sorry to offend you, I put it very poorly last post.

ok. so you keep saying things like "a little bird told me" or you get "hints". now you're saying you "heard" about a contract. so let me ask you straight up. where are you getting your info? do you have ANY tangible sources or is it all say, hmmmm..... i don't know.... maybe.... a "LEGEND"??
It's really not a bad idea, what he's doing - If the lineup comes out and Zeppelin's on it, he'll remind us about how he knew and he can brag about his insider knowledge. If the lineup comes out and Zeppelin's NOT on it, we'll all forget about who said what and move on to talking about the bands that are on the lineup.
I've been on other boards where people do that same thing - act like they're getting insider knowledge and just hoping, eventually, that they'll get one right.

I'm sure there's probably a convo about this already but what does everyone think about the effect zepplin playing (if they do) will have on bonnaroo as far as: * ticket prices (I'm assuming they will be much higher and harder to come by) * camping (I think RV attendence will go up) *Do you think attendence at other shows will be less because of people just going to the fest to see zepplin? I noticed this a little last year because of the Police. *Generally zepplin has an older fanbase...not to say that anyone wouldn't love seeing them but how will this affect roo? Just trying to list some of the ups and downs of them headlining!
"If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has the power to move you, if the simple things in nature have a message you understand, Rejoice, for your soul is alive."

haha, every question you asked has been brought up before in this exact same thread i believe...

hopefully they don't think it's a good idea to run cadillac ads on the video screens during rock and roll...sellouts
man, i was so pissed when i 1st saw that during the super bowl. i thought jimmy would never do that. but then again, he did ruin one of the best rock songs of all time in his collaboration with puff daddy. i mean p diddy. i mean puffy. oops i mean puffy d. or is it diddy. whatever it is, it has zero talent. as you can tell, being a GIANT zeppelin fan, i took those two things to heart. sign of the M EFFING apocalypse.

It's wasn't Jimmy.... It was the FREAKIN' Super Bowl! Advertisement is how things are paid for... That is just the way it is... No, I don't support this, but why knock an artist for what they cannot control.... The whole "sellout" thing is PLAYED OUT... Just my opinion, folks...
Meh, honestly I don't like the word sellout anymore. You really have to put yourself in their situation. "Hey Jimmy, if we can use 30 seconds of your song, we'll give you a caddy and couple million dollars. Sound good?"
Personally, that sounds great to me.
I remember when I was a kid and I used to skate, and every other person was a poser. That kind of thing gets old real fast, because then you realize that everyone is a poser/sellout in some form.
I just have a personal feeling that they'll be there. Way too much hype about it at this point for it not to happen. I have the set from London last month n it isnt too shabby. Plant couldn't really hit any high notes, but considering how old he is...it's understandable. I'd love to see them either way. One can hope!
what if : jam session featuring robert plant, dave grohl and warren haynes.
Dunno.... Warren's pretty hard to schedule time with... I mean, he's not really what you'd consider a 'team player', IMHO....
ya seriously... when was the last time he had any guest up on stage... he's like totally gay for his Gov't Mule bandmates... i wish he would stop being so selfish. I heard he wouldn't keep playing with the Allman Bros Band full time until they change their name to the Warren Haynes Jazz Odyssey Spectacle(w/special guest the Allman Bros)... but that's just a rumor at this time...

I have a theory that the way Dave Grohl and Warren play with so many different bands the odds are they will play together. Probably with Dave Schools or George Porter Jr. on bass.

Didn't they just shorten the name to Warren Haynes' Jesticles?

i never said jimmy sold out. but who do you think cadillac and the super bowl got permission from to use the song "rock 'n roll"? uh, jimmy page. he controls ALL of zeppelins music and rights, and he had to give cadillac the OK to use that song. after paying jimmy to use that song, cadillac had to pay the super bowl people to run that commercial. the super bowl people were just doing their job. jimmy page and led zeppelin are my BIGGEST musical influences in my life. i would never disrespect them. sure a commercial was bound to happen. i can live with that. but the butchering of kashmir, one of the greatest rock songs ever, is a little harder to get over. it might have worked if puff daddy had any talent what so ever.
