billy gibbons walked into the waterloo icehouse here in austin back in december. just walked in, glasses and beard, picked up some food, said hi to a few people, and off he went
Alright, I've been scanning this post every now and then for a while now, and I'm surprised no one has mentioned the possibility of something monumental at the superjam? Or the Plant/Krauss show for that matter. Jimmy Page seems unlikely to me personally, but Plant/Jones could team up and still blow us away I'm sure. Thoughts?
Pretty sure that the Superjam idea has been mentioned before. Maybe not in this specific thread, but guaranteed somewheres on Inforoo there has been speculation about it.

We've mentioned it, dissected it, added Neil Young and Eddie Vedder, brought Wayne Coyne in to sing one song and added Jeebus on bongos.

I don't think they would do a zep superjam, even if plant and jones were the only ones there, would anyone go to other latenight shows and pass up a chance to see 2/3 original members on the same stage rockin out?

Plus a Zep Superjam would be a little ridiculous, seeing as that's basically what the Superjam was LAST year. If anything happens with Zep, I'm almost certain it won't be there.

ya they would have to be on the what stage because i dont see how any other act would want to miss led zeppelin playing. i cant imagine another band wanting to play the same time as zeppelin.

i love living here
Reminds me of a story I heard overthe holidays while enjoying a beer at McCabe pub in Nashville:
A few weeks before that, an older guy and a gal wandered in late one night. Before the owner could get a good look at them, he informed them that the kitchen was closed and that if they wanted any food they would have to go across the street. The couple left, but the patrons of the bar were in shock. Once they picked their jaws up off the floor, they informed the bartender that he had just turned away Robert Plant and Allison Krauss.

wow, i would hate myself if i had just turned plant away from my bar, sucks to be that dude
Had a vivid dream last night that might be pertinent.
I was at this year's Bonnaroo. Saturday night just before sundown I believe. Most of the crowd is wandering away from a pre-headliner when suddenly it appears: a shiny silver Zeppelin wafting low over Centeroo! Slowly everyone becomes aware of it, the excited chatter bulds until a palpable buzz is felt in the sea of concertgoers! Out of the blue the Zeppelin bursts into flames!! Debris is sent careening in all directions, which we can soon see are scads of flyers informing us there will be a special announcement before tonites headliner at such and such tent - to start in 5 minutes.
Now it's a race to get there. Somehow I'm one of the first and go right up to the stage. But then it's not a tent anymore, we're in an old-fashioned ballroom type auditorium, and there's a big screen set up on the stage. The place fills up pretty quckly. Everyone is just about bursting with anticipation. Just before the tape rolls, I catch a glimpse from the front row of the Hammer of the Gods himself, Jimmy Page, high above and to the left of the stage, partly obscured by the heavy velvet curtains and visible only I suspect to a few of us in the front row, but no one else but me seems to be paying attention. Whats more odd is his face is all white, looking like its covered with powder, giving the impression of a fop, or maybe even a ghost. He seems amused at the proceedings, then he notices me looking at him and grows stern, then receedes into the shadows.
The AV presentation starts. Its something like "Since the inception of Bonnaroo in 2002, there have been persistent rumors of a Led Zeppelin reunion at our festival. Now the truth can be told. In actual fact, there is merit to the stories: We have been trying to stage this reunion since those early days only to come up a little short each time!" It then goes into a somewhat humorous "behind the scenes" of the several near succesful attempts to bring about the Rock Reunion of All Time.
Then suddenly the film stops. There's a pause, no one seems to know whats going on. Then a Superfly representative takes the stage and announces someone has gotten in backstage and stolen the tape!! Chaos ensues, people are grumbling about getting to the night's headliner, the Superfuly guy's making offers of free MP3 players and backstage passes in exhcange for the tape and.... thats when I woke up.
I really don't profess to know what it all means but it was pretty vivid. After waking couldnt fall back asleep for almost an hour. If I was going to guess it means there won't be any Zep reunion this year, but maybe a special guest or two and an announcement of the World Tour?
Anyone out there any good at dream interpretation?
I believe that is the 2nd dream someone has had about Led Zeppelin playing Bonnaroo. Must be a sign. Then again, my dreams of naked ladies on a bed full of money never seem to come true.
Guys have you thought about this? Whats the real possibility of a band like Led Zeppelin playing somewhere when already there is a cover band for them scheduled? Now in my years of concert going nothing like this has happened. But Roo being four days who knows. But we do know Plant will be there and giving the fact that John Paul Johns was all over the place last year, and loves the festival, the possibility of them doing the Superjam seems more and more.Or maybe during Plant's show he calls on a couple of guests to join him onstage... Eitherway I think if Zeppelin does play Bonnaroo it will be the last announcement just before Roo.This would give many a people time still to get up the finances to get tickets and go.I mean you know for a fact if Zeppelin officially gets announced that ticket sales will increase Ten fold, and sell out much much sooner than ever before. So this just seems logical and fair to me.

As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!

yea but phil lesh is playing, and so is dark star orchestra, so i dont think that can totally be a reason to nullify them.
Okay, it's officially highly unlikely (unless Plant does two sets in a day -- unlikely since he didn't even sing during the 02 Arena rehearsals to protect his voice):
Krauss/Plant dates (according to Pollstar and Jambase):
