According to Johnathan Schwartz (The General of Jam) on Sirius radio Jam-on 17 Trey will be updating his tourdates page in the next week or so. Although there are no plans for Phish, Trey will be announcing plans to play some big shows over the summer and do some "interesting touring" with his solo band. Johnathan made this announcement on Sirius radio last night around 5pm before seguing into Trey's "Mozambique."

that trey 05 was my first trey show ever, never saw phish, i loved it, except for the bo bice part...i've heard from a lot of people they didn't like the show...
It would not surprise me to see Trey in a headlining spot at all. If Widespread can still get a headliner spot so can Trey. I could see him as the Sunday closer easy. Also latenight 05 Trey was best glow stick war I have ever been in at the Roo. I can still see the smile on Trey's face during his opener. One of my favorite Bonnaroo memories!
Trey would definitely make my trip, but I really don't see him headlining. Widespread can still headline because they have been a band for 20 + years, and they have a huge following and can mix up their setlists very well. Trey's solo work, however, is not nearly as extensive as Panic's. And although he occasionally plays a Phish song here and there, he really wouldn't bring a huge draw to What Stage as a headliner. This is of course all my opinion, and let me just say that I would definitely be there if he were to headline. I just think it's unlikely. Maybe if it was a special "Trey Anastasio and Friends" or something like that.
I saw him at the latenight show in 05 and loved it. I didn't mind Bo Bice (Bo even sang with Galactic the night before). But I will admit it probably wasn't Trey's greatest show that tour.
I saw him again in 2006 both with Oysterhead (still to this day one of the greatest shows I've ever seen), and with Mike and the Duo. Both were incredible shows. I can definitely see him playing latenight Friday or Saturday at Which Stage.
"If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has the power to move you, if the simple things in nature have a message you understand, Rejoice, for your soul is alive."

My 70 year old boss is obsessed with Bo Bice. She's in the fan club, travels to other cities to see shows, has a Bo Bice mug and has brought in a mini dvd player with Bo Bice videos on it to work so she can listen and watch Bo while she's working. It's great...

Haha, ok, that's pretty extreme. I'm not saying I'm a fan of Bo Bice. But I just wasn't pissed off like everyone else when he made some appearances at Bonnaroo. I just really don't care one way or the other. I think I've watched American Idol maybe twice in my life. I didn't even know who he was when he got on stage.

Trey's late night in 05 was my first trey concert, and since I've probably notched a decent handful of shows from his dave and friends appearance at vegoose to oysterhead and a few tour stops. I love his playing and despite not being at his headlining gigs in the previous years, i think he can muster up a fantastic headlining set.
I also loved the Bo Bice appearance. Think of it if he had gotten interviewed like this... Reporter: You just came in second in American Idol, what are you going to do now? Bo Bice: I'm going to get hammered drunk and sing van halen in tennessee, WOOOOOO!
You know, I'm going to Langerado for the first time this year and was considering goving the Roo as pass....I had another GREAT time last year but for some reason was pessimistic about the lineup. I think it was the Mettalica/Zepplin rumors. But if Trey is in that could bring me back. Of course, if the rumor from every Bonnaroo EVER...Phish...pans out...I wouldn't miss it for the world!
yeah... that set in 2002 was really REALLY super awesome. That Bathtub Gin was one of the most special moments of Roo02... everybody all singing along... "We're all in this together.... AND WE'D LOVE TO TAKE A BATH!"
When Trey is ON, he's the man and I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt. I can't wait to see what happens after he gets back to doing what he does.
