They're sort of a heavier band in the vein of Black Angels. They sound a bit like VU or Zeppelin.
Great recommendation. I'll probably be seeing them play with Dead Meadow and Blood on the Wall in Austin next month, so even if they don't play Bonnaroo I'll get my fix.
If Black Mountain showed up I would see them. The new record doesn't do a lot for me (well come to think about it the last one didn't either) but I got a chance to catch them at MacRock a few years ago and was impressed. You should check out their other band too. The Pink Mountaintops. more folky and goodness.

thanks for the tip, i'm digging on "tourist in your town" right now some great stuff
i mean, it's just a powerful sound. the whole beginning is pretty awesome. check it out - i'll def be seeing them at roo. unless there is a hard to decide conflict.
you know what i realized... we NEED some black, whether its black mountain, the black keys, or some black angels. heck id be down for some BLACK SABBATH!

Here's their Conan performance a couple nights ago. Decent, but I'm not blown away. They're coming to Chicago next month though, so I might check 'em out.
