I seriously doubt we'll play there 2 years in a row and, as far as I know, they haven't asked us to do it this year. I'm sure we will again, though I'm not sure when.
For those of you unfamiliar with The FLips, Kliph is their live drummer, and he makes a point to answer fan questions on their boards. I asked this question of him, just antsy to know whether my dreams will come true or not (and many of yours, too, I suppose).
But alas, they will not make an appearance. I'm sure they're taking the sabbatical to find something to make our heads explode... again.

I heard Beastie Boys thrown around too, but I haven't heard any news from them on any level, so I'm not sure what to think. I'd check them out just to say I did, but I can't listen to their music for very long.

i dont believe kliph for a second...not cause he lies, but i think he hides things...
last year he said they werent gonna do a latenight.... then he said that he doubted they would go over like 2 hours.... then he said they werent gonna bring the starship.... and look what happened....

I kind of hope that the Beastie Boys are not there this year, I saw them at The Virgin Festival and I didn't think they were that good. Fun to listen to and all but nothing special to it.

They're definitely playing that Summer Camp festival in Illinois May 23-25.
That's about midway between my finals week and Bonnaroo. I definitely can't take a full weekend off between the two big blocks of time needed for those, but I'm planning on driving down whatever day they play.

definitely not a completely true statement, but i've noticed something:
most people who clamor for a band to play two years in a row either, A: didn't go to bonnaroo last year, and missed seeing that band, or B: passed out early and missed the latenight performance of that band
flaming lips just don't do it for me, i guess, MULE was where it was AT

mEH! flaming lips were my choice. this makes it harder on me
edit: i missed all of roo 07, but based on friends accounts and you tube images if you saw the flaming lips and didnt like the starship your body was severely lacking in C20H25N3O, C11H15NO2 and, C12H17N2O4P ;D
