The Kings are awesome, but they need to change up their show a little.............ending each show with the Trani/Guitar slam/walk off is getting a little old already.
This man came up to me just the other day, asked me I'd been born again. I told him, "I didn't think I had." That I had been rejected. But I think, Hell's got all the good bands anyway. And Bonnaroo.
We left in the middle of their set in 07....it was kinda boring....plus, even with a few thousand people there....the What stage field looked damn near empty.....they had no business on a stage that size, local or not.
If they're coming back, they need to go back to a tent, and put a little more heart into it.
I was really upset that i missed their show last year. I have no idea what I was doing or who they were conflicting with. But it would be great to have them back and I definitely wouldn't miss it this year!

So sick of numb nuts posting on here. I understand that you may have liked a band last year but (and this took me awhile to figure out to)... BANDS DON'T PLAY BACK TO BACK YEARS!!

Let me add my two cents about how great KOL are live even if they probably won't be at Roo this year. It would be cool to have a local band become in regular artist in residence IMO and I would definitely vote for KOL!

I saw them open for Dylan in a small-ish arena in '06 and thought they had a lively, fun show. I made sure to check 'em out at Roo last year and was bored to tears. They were dwarfed by the size of the stage, having neither the energy nor charisma to fill that field.
Not at all impressed with their '07 show. They looked bored and uninspired...until singer dude figured out the PA had cut out, then he looked pissed and on the verge of a hissy fit. The music just didn't do it for me. I had kind of liked their newest album, but that performance really turned me off to them.
i love KOL. have for a few years now. and i was totally excited to see them at bonnaroo. i had heard great things about their shows. but honestly, i was not impressed at all. i think they would have been better one a smaller stage.
i wouldn't mind having them back, if they came with a better attitude and were on a different stage.
