So i was reading the new rolling stone today and i noticed an article about Ringo Starr, and it says he is coming out with a new album, i could def see him being a possible roo announcement, and i for one would have to say i would be super stoked if a member of the Beatles finally made an appearence, kind of sucks that were down to only two, and i cant see Paul doing the roo, he is kind of up tight. i think they should bring back the artist in residence this year and make it ringo starr, that would make my year pretty much.

i could def. seee paul happening; he's done glastonbury. We've gotten radiohead and I'd say he is the only person out there thats bigger and still tours.

instead of bonnaroo going after reunited bands, they should just get a member of a legendary band as the artist in residence...i like to think that john paul jones was kind of the unofficial artist in residence last year...how many bands did he play with? i guess its like someone who just goes around playing with different bands all weekend...so maybe we'll see ringo starr in the superjam...thats what they should do...every year for the superjam, bring in an icon of a legendary band...make the superjam a latenight show, but put it on the which stage...the other tent appears to be the smallest tent of the 3, and having superjam there last year was a mistake...but string cheese also in a tent last year would've also been a mistake...

the only way i can see sir paul showing up is if super furry animals were there, cause he loves them, and actually was on one of there albums chewing celery.....which the story apparently goes that paul loved super furry and somehow ran into the lead singer in a bathroom somewhere, and pal asked told him that he would love to collaberate with them, so the lead singer of super furry says ok, and then he lets paul chew celery on one song, you cant even really hear the celery, but its there, ive seen them twice, and both times during that song the lead singer puts three mics up to his mouth and jams like two or three pieces of celery in his mouth and chomps away in a way that corncat would be proud!

I would imagine that the celery was in reference to the beach boys "vegetables" off the unreleased "SMiLE" (not the brian wilson version) in which Paul chews carrots.
There is a better collaboration between the two on pauls "Liverpool Sound Collage" album any beatles fan or experimental music fan should check it out.
Also paul will come for one reason and one alone............. a big fucking pay check.

There's a lot so say about why Paul wouldn't be a good fit for Bonnaroo, but I'd MUCH rather have him there than Ringo. I mean, is there even a comparison between their solo work?

musically paul is prolly better than ringo, but ringo is a way more down to earth cool guy than paul, paul is a snobbish punk sometimes, i see ringo being the better pick of the two for roo, and as for there solo work, pauls is way better than ringo, but ringo has some killer ass beatles tunes that he would do...

It's not like Paul doesn't bust out the Beatles tunes in his solo shows. On his 2002 double-disc live album "Back in the U.S." he does a total of 20 Bealtes songs, including one by George ("Something"). He'll play more Beatles than Ringo, because he wrote/co-wrote almost all of them!
