i think he could be back based on the fact that he didn't play any new songs from lifeline, plus, with it looking like eddie vedder and jack johnson will both be there, i think those are 2 of his best buds...

Ben Haper has been at 'roo a good bit I wouldn't be surprised if he skipped a year. The best one though was 03 or 04 when he was there with the Innocent Crimanals. I agree with him not being so great at the super jam last year. ?estlove and JPJ rocked, but JPJ was much better w/ Gov't Mule.

AAHH..this is a beautiful thought! Now if G. Love, Ziggy, JBT, and the Zep and i will die one happy hippie!
Harper was one of my favorite shows at 'Roo last year, and I would LOVE to see him again! Dont know if he'll do two years back to back, but we can hope! Personally I'd like to see him do a late-night...just as a more mellow option...
"We're no longer called Sonic Death Monkey. We're on the verge of becoming Kathleen Turner Overdrive, but just for tonight, we are Barry Jive and his Uptown Five. "
I would enjoy seeing him myself. I missed his set Saturday afternoon because I was at the comedy tent watching Flight of the Conchords. They were pretty funny at least.
Close your eyes. Picture a convict. What's he wearing? Nothing special, baseball cap on backwards, baggy pants... he says something ordinary like... 'yo, thats shizzle.' Okay. Now slowly open your eyes again. Who are you picturing? A black man? Wrong. That was a white woman. Surprised? Well, shame on you.

we missed him at bonnaroo, but caught him at Voodoo. I love Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals... ben's voice is so soothing and mellow! and he's pretty wicked on the guitar. I would be VERY disappointed if he wasn't there

kristen, you're sexy. seems like this is standard for mississippi girls.
sorry to disappoint you, but the latest i heard was that BH is not playing bonnaroo this year, but is instead heading 1 hour south to play another festival that takes place on the same weekend (Fathers Day). hasn't been confirmed 100% yet, but is pending and i seriously doubt ben will be there this year.
i cried about this a little last night as i love bonnaroo, but love ben harper even more. what if this rumor is true and he's playing bham? do i skip the 'roo this year to see my "man-crush"?

Mississippi girls do tend to be above the national average in sexiness. I think it's the accents.
The aforementioned festival in Birmingham, City Stages, hasn't announced it's '08 lineup yet but a friend of mine who works for the group that puts it on, The Birmingham Heritage and Cultural Foundation, said Ben Harper hasn't confirmed and doesn't seem likely. Hopefully it's because he's headed to Manchester. Sadly this is the only festival I have connections with.

I've seen him three times and just like a fine wine, he keeps getting better with age. I really hope he comes back, and with rumors of PJ and Jack Johnson flying around, I wouldn't be surprised if he came around for that. Plus Lifeline was an amazing album and he didn't hit the festival up for that.

Lifeline is the only supporting tour I've not seen. I was hoping to kill two birds with one stone and see him do it at Bonnaroo which I had already planned to attend. The information I gave is current as to the best of my knowledge. I hope he makes it this year as he's always a Roo highlight. I think gatrd has a good point though with Jack Johnson and PJ looking more probable. Who knows? If we don't get the lineup this week then I might call his agent or something and try to pull some recon.
