It's time for Superfly to open their eyes and realize that a key ingredient has been missing from every Bonnaroo thus far... Little Feat! It's time to bring on the psychedelic dixie rock!

i've thought about this possibility the past 2 years...they played 10KLF either last year or the year before and wondered why they've never played roo...

They were at Bear Creek Fest in Nov. which I was at but I missed their show. :'(I won't make that mistake again if they show up at another fest I'm at.

Haven't listened to them since the death of Lowell George. Are they any good?
I'm right there with ya. I love all of Lowell's stuff, but I haven't heard anything out of them after his death. I think Bill Payne still plays with them and he's a badass on the keys.

Seen them three times, and trust me when I say do not miss a Feat show if they're ever in your town. Can not take anything away from Lowell, because he was the mastermind and it's the songs he wrote that are predominantly their best material. But man, these guys still jam out live. They will take a lot of people by surprise if given a shot at 'Roo. It just makes all the sense in the world to have them there. They'll also pull out some tasty covers and I can smell some collaborations from all the way here in Toronto.

little feat>plant/krauss/allman brothers
Really? I like Little Feat, but really? I think original Little Feat, with Lowell>current Allman Bros., but without Lowell they aren't close to what they were. Still good, still worth having at Bonnaroo, but not close to what they were.

I don't want to speak for Brokenlight, but I thought he meant he wanted Little Feat to open for the Allman Brothers, not that they were better. I'd have no problem whatsoever with Feat leading into the Brothers.

Oh, I think you're right. Rereading his post, it makes sense. Sorry, brokenlight.

Little Feat > Allman Brothers Band would be absolutely superb. And imagine if Levon Helm is at the farm too? The possibilities for collaboration would be endless. Every time I have seen Little Feat in Canada, they always make some reference to The Band followed by a cover of one of their tunes. The best was when they closed a show with Rag Mama Rag. That was absolutely filthy. *Wiping the drool off my chin.
