Saw em twice in 2007 (Lolla & Vegoose) and blew me away each time. It's amazing how big their sound is for 3 people. Tight as hell... Matthew Bellamy is the f*ckin' man.

they'll probably be headlining in a year or two
I just discoved them very recently and only heard a couple songs, but I have a feeling they will be a favorite once I get around to getting more DL to listen to.

Absolution is amazing, by far my favorite of their records, I recommend downloading that first.

Absolution has nothing on Origin of Symmetry
Right now Absolution and BH&R are in progress. I'm on dialup at home, so it will be days atleat. I'm adding O of S next. This is running on a laptop which I take on the road every couple of days and catch a wifi signal, so I could possibly finish all 3 in the next few days. Waiting on dsl, but it could be years b4 it gets to me, 6 miles from nearest town.

Muse is one of my top hopefuls for 2008.
agree cr****
This is extremely good news. This is not meant to be offensive Ron (i would never want to intentionally rag on anyone unless i'm kidding around), but if Muse can appeal to an "older" crowd, they can play at Bonnaroo. I'm very excited for the possibility of seeing these guys again, they're one of my favorite bands that i discovered in college.
I saw Muse in 2000 open up for the Foo Fighters and the Chili Peppers. I thought some of their songs (Muscle Museum) were OK (my college radio station at the time was playing them a lot), but quite frankly, as a live band, they sounded like three-fifths of a third-rate Radiohead cover band.
Sounds like they've gotten their live act together?
God, Muse would rock my socks if they turned up at Roo. Thu/Fri/Sat headliner on the Which stage or, at the risk of another smiting, 3rd headliner on the main. They need to be at night though for their show.
Edit: if you're just getting into Muse, I recommend downloading Knights of Cydonia from Black Holes and Revelations. That entire album is outstanding.

IMO, Black Holes & Revelations is Muse's least innovative album. I think Absolution is probably a better place to start as a first time listener, although Origin of Symmetry is excellent as well.

"PLUG IN BABY!!!!!"
In my opinion BH&R expanded their sound, and really showcased their talent. Just look at Map of the Problematique. Apparantly their 5th studio album will expand their sound even more, I think Matt or Dom said it's going to be a little more on the electronic side.
but getting back on topic, I don't think we'll see Muse this year. They've toured heavily the last 2 years and will probably start recording soon. Really hoping for 09 though
here are some pics from Muse at the san diego street scene. they were the sat night headliner. i was working this show and watched from onstage. so it was memorable, great crowd interaction also. didnt know much about them except recent radio plays. they showed lots of talent and range. coming into their own. highly recommended

Congrats on 100 posts Swamp Butt, I just noticed I've got B.O and Fudge Toes, didn't even realize I was over 300!

the only reason i think they may be there is due to the fact that they played at Vegoose a few months ago... so... they've talked with AC & superfly... it would be a nice addition is all i'm saying...
