Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Me too. I would totally go to a festival with this Fakearoo lineup. The most important thing I've learned from this thread: Chuck Berry is alive and touring? He really should come to Bonnaroo.
I agree that this list is a bit of BS but there are many potential kernals of truth in there -- enough to give at least momentary pause.
I think that the biggest hurdle to credibility is the headliners, though. While they certainly enjoy taking risks, Superfly seems to usually cover their asses when it comes to headliners. (Expecting Dave Matthews backlash? Book The Dead or Widespread Panic. Possible Police protests? Protect yourself with Panic . . . again.) They really don't leave any cover for themselves with this line-up. There is no teflon headliner on that list (and even Panic may have become oversaturated for a couple of years.)
Clearly the author has done his or her homework, though, because just about every artist on that list has been bandied about here on one thread or another. (Personally, I was happy to see that s/he included my mention of Colin Hay but was disappointed to see that I can't even get Great Big Sea on a fake line-up!)

i don't believe this lineup. some of it is supercool and some of it really sucks.
eagles = excuse me while i puke (someone kill don henley please) coldplay = booooriring van halen = love them, but not likely chuck berry = the TRUE king of rock n roll joe jackson = please say its true marilyn manson = never gonna happen at roo tribe called quest = not reuniting
incidentally, haven't they ususally "leaked" at least some of the lineup just before announcing every year?
With these line-ups, about 85% of them are fake, but there is a good portion that probably will be at Bonnaroo this year.

Not a headliner on the list, but those three alone would be enough to get me to the festival. Could you imagine a P-Funk late night?

Dont quack with a man about Anthony Braxton. Seriously. I would simply die of a heart attack.
I wouldn't consider it too far-fetched. He's still kickin', still tours and such, and has an affection for some of the younger bands (collaborated with Wolf Eyes, father of Tyondai from Battles). Not to mention that Ornette kind of set a precedence last year for free-jazz legends at our beloved Bonnaroo. Yeah, I could see it happening.
^^ No dout. I am still kicking myself for not going to the Victoriaville Festival several years ago when he collaberated with Wolf Eyes. That was one of the sickist line up's I have ever seen. Thurston out did himself ... No I can see it. I can. Just don't mess with a person on this. Back at you. Mucho grassyass.

^^^Right on. Have you heard the performance, released on CD as "Black Vomit"? It's outstanding, as anyone would expect... one of my favorite albums of 2006. If you don't have it, just PM me.

Honestly, the entire list looks reaaaaaaaallllly similar to our "Blue Room/ Yay or Nay series" thread. It's almost like some jackasss came on here, and slapped together a bogus lineup of artists on there, and said "Let's release this to fu*k with those Inforoo kiddies."

While I agree this lineup is bunk, I was surprised at a second glance how good it could be once you get past the 3 wretched headliners:
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss B.B. King Return to Forever The Mars Volta Willie Nelson Underworld Ornette Coleman The Word Levon Helm Band Emmylou Harris Chuck Berry George Jones A Tribe Called Quest Richard Thompson’s “1000 Years of Popular Music,” George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic Donovan Lee “Scratch” Perry The Shins Sonic Youth DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist Ministry Etta James Neko Case Bustle in Your Hedgerow Femi Kuti Shpongle The Polyphonic Spree Anthony Braxton Loudon Wainwright III Cat Power & Dirty Delta Blues Iron & Wine Billy Bragg Kinky Benevento-Russo Duo Girl Talk Joe Jackson Grace Potter and the Nocturnals John Zorn(!!!!!!) Cake Super Furry Animals Ghostland Observatory The Magnetic Fields Col. Bruce & the Quark Alliance Saul Williams Of Montreal Avett Brothers Vashti Bunyan GWAR The Slits Dengue Fever Black Moth Super Rainbow
That's a damn solid festival if you ask me. I almost hope it's true.

No way this is real. Despite your opinion of the bands at the top, that list has four headliners. And I'd be willing to bet a lot of money that Marilyn Manson and Kid Rock will never play a Bonnaroo.
