My roomate was their roadie all year last year and two nights ago sat in with them on the backporch stage at the house of blues in chicago.
Although they are getting much bigger tickets were 5 bucks and the house wasn't full (were not even talking the main room); he mentioned bonnaroo to them and he said all they metioned was a possible sit in with jimmy herring. My roomate isn't to into festies and said he might have been getting confused with NOLA Jazz fest. (were widespread is playing).
So just a hunch but i'd bet the lee boys will be on a smaller stage, def. worth checking out though.

when i first heard they would be on the mainstage, i thought are you kidding me, i thought popularity wise they weren't big enough to be on the mainstage, but i could definitely see them in an opening spot on the mainstage, usually smaller bands play in the opening spot. i think they'd be a good act before someone like bb king
they could be an early sunday main stage act... i mean, who the heck had ever heard of the "The Wild Magnolia Mardi Gras Indians"? they were on the main stage early last year...
so why not The Lee Boys? I say early sunday because they play the "sacred steel" which is traditionally church type musical stylings...
