Ok, is anyone just completely obsesssed with Bonnaroo? I am!!! All I do is think about it! What I'm going to do when I'm there, who I'm going to go see, what I'm going to bring, etc, etc, etc. I check inforoo ALL THE TIME for new posts. I check the Bonnaroo website for anything new that might pop up even though I'm subscribe to the mailing list. I'm subscribe to the listserve. I CAN'T WAIT!!!! We need to set up a Bonnaroo Anonymous group or something. "Hello. My name's Jen and I'm a Rooaholic!" ;D
Hi Jen!!!!! (from about 10 of us huddled around a coffemaker with cigs hanging out of our mouth)
I wouldn't even go to a BA meeting because it is okay with me to be addicted to fun
I'm ready to go right now and sit on the side of I-24 for a month and a half. The only thing keeping me from going now is that the tickets won't be here til next week.

Obsessed is a mild way to put it! Being at Roo is all I think about! I spend every minute planning what we're going to bring, etc... I dream about it. I dreamt that my group just couldn't wait and we just left for TN that day! It's all I can talk about. My friends who are not going want me to SHUT - UP!! I can't wait to meet all of you! I ration out my listserv reading, otherwise, I'd read everything all before 6am everyday. I'm addicted! I can't WAIT! Must...be...at.....Bonnaroo...........NOW!!!!!!
a bit addicted to the thought myself. I have dreams of enormous coolers of beer, scorching heat, chemically induced confusion, fabulous music, and chasing down a single King of Leon with a bear hug after chewing down some crazy stuff...
I think I have a particularly acute case of B.O.D.(Bonanroo Obsession Disorder)
-Do you dream about Bonnaroo? Check. I have a wide variety of Bonnaroo dreams YEAR ROUND FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS. I'm into lucid dreaming and I think that the various Bonnaroo landscapes in my brain have become some sort of reference point for dream-Faletti.
-Do friends and loved ones (even those coming to Bonnaroo) really want you to shut up about it? ("No, I've never heard of Mindy Smith or mrnorth and I don't really care!") Check. That's why you all are my only REAL friends.
-Do you spend a significant portion of your music listening time brushing up on music by Bonnaroo acts you aren't familiar with? Check. Must buy Femi Kuti CD.... Must delve deeper into the world of Ween.... Must listen to Wilco's "Ghost Is Born" whenever I am near my computer...
-Does your productivity at your job suffer because you are at Inforoo or other Bonnaroo related websites all day? Check. What productivity? (there's three other things I'm supposed to be doing right now)

yea I hear all that. I only see my friends on the weekend (cause The Man has me tied down), but I think they know what to expect everytime they see me...."Did you see the new artist additions? Did you hear about the parade? Have you heard of these guys?" I know they're sick of it, but I don't care. I'll carry the Roo banner high till that wonderful day comes.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one being told on a regular basis to "shut up about Bonnaroo. ;D Ya'll have made me feel much better about my "B.O.D." I say that we all just leave the day our tickets come and get in line!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I can't really talk about Bonnaroo at work because nobody can fathom the fact that I might not shower for 3 days. So, I have to talk about it to my roommate, who is also going, but I think he is getting annoyed with my plethora of info.

I've been listening to that every day for weeks!!
My hubby and friends are getting sick of me talking about all the new stuff I see here. Especially the ones who aren't going. I'm so glad I'm not alone in this!!
Faletti - thanks for reminding me, I have to listen to more Ween today!!

You all have no idea how relieved I am to see that I'm not the only one! Every waking (and sleeping!) minute has some thought about roo! This will be my first, so I'm super excited! We should have this sort of roo support group meet up sometime

I admit...I'm also suffering from this disorder...We are leaving June 7th..drive for a couple of days and arrive in Atlanta on Wed to pick up some displaced Oregonions..Then its straight to Roo so we'll be there Thursday morning...Please come find me...I'll have lots of good Oregon Party Favors and a smile!!!
Ya i feel you guys about the obsession thing. I have been slowly buying things that look like they would be fun to have or helpful while i'm there. I stated this after we left last year so now there is like no way i'm going to be able to fit all this shitt into my car!!! squirtguns, tiki torches, chairs, tables, tents, instruments, all kind of stuff. Heading out on the 8th and hope to be in walmart parking lot by about 4:00p on wednesday. See ya there...
Ha! Kato, I hear ya. I just bought two more tarps at Wally World -- a little one for carrying to Centeroo and a big 10x20 to work shade magic with in camp--and then I started going through my basic gear back home. I know have nine tarps! They take up a BIG trash bag...
...I'm going to have to get those special bags that you can suck the air out of to carry everything.
This is how obsessed and determined I am. I am waiting to receive a phone call today to find out if I got a job that I interviewed for yesterday. If they offer it to me and they tell me I they can't give me to time of to go to roo, I AINT TAKING THE JOB!!!!!!
Is that irresponsible of me? (I do have a job now so it's not like I'd be unemployed.)
You youngsters will always learn the hard way. In life, one must prioritize and make sacrifices every day. When an oppurtunity arrises, you must evaluate your life and make an educated decision based on the facts. With all that being said........There are billions of jobs given every year but only 1 Bonnaroo ;D
