I'm from Murfreesboro, TN. I was wondering if anyone on these boards was from around the area. I love interacting with everyone in the camping area, but if there are any locals here, let me know and maybe we can make some pre-Roo plans to meet up!
TEXTWhat's up brother? I am from manchester. My house is about 6 miles away from the site. Part of my family lives on the road bonnaroo is on. and if you have been to manchester you would know how to get to my house. So what's the deal? we should get some locals together. peace
Well mimi I would say there are some lowdown motels like The cumberland inn it's on 41 in the middle of town it's mostly just a kind apt place for most people in manchester but that would be your best bet. however they will probably jack the prices just for Bonnaroo. the day before if speaking of thursday. I would say just get in line early. now if your talking Weds. that is a different story. Also how many people are coming with you. But For the most part I think Most of the hotels are booked as far as I know. if your coming early let me know. I am planning on a bunch of my friends being at my house. I have a pretty big group that are kind folks coming with me from Louisville, which is where I am at right now. So I am sure a couple more kind folk at my house couldn't be too bad.
You won't find a local hotel with the possible exception of the little places mentioned, and I'm sure they are going to get full value. I searched three months ago and everything within 30 miles was long gone beginning Wednesday through Sunday, and even Monday. Sorry....
Hey bigd8191. Coming from Louisville here also. Haven't seen much noise from any Louisville folk. Do you have any insight on avoiding some of the traffic that could be shared, such as local back roads?
hey valcom and pigs...we will be leaving from lexington. i havent seen many peeps from ky. kinda safe to say there arent many of our kynd in those parts good luck finding ways around the traffic we have been the past 2 years and have tried different roads into manchester each time...both ways welcomed us with a nice long line. waiting was have the fun thouhg really. you will probably be parked next to or close to those in line around you. i cant wait!!!!
