LED ZEPPELIN are to reunite for a second time to headline the 2008 Bonnaroo Arts and Music Festival in the U.S. Organisers for the event, which will be held over three days in June (08) in Manchester, Tennessee, have confirmed the legendary rockers will top the bill, which currently includes Metallica, Pearl Jam and Kanye West. The announcement comes after months of speculation that the Stairway To Heaven hitmakers were planning on playing more live dates after they reformed for a one-off concert in London in December (07). Founding members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones teamed up with Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John, to take to the stage at the O2 Arena for a tribute concert in honour of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. And the gig has been followed up by rumours of more shows and a possible world tour. But the band insist a full tour will have to wait until at least September (08), after frontman Plant finishes his promotional commitments with Alison Krauss

hmmm the ashley capps interview posted on the tennessean article last nite seems to contradict this... not that it wouldnt be the greatest thing that ever happened in the history of mankind.
I think at this point if it doesn't appear either on the band's website, or on Bonnaroo's website we can pretty much call it a false rumor. Hell, if AP got it wrong how can we believe a news article on the PJ forums?
I still have my doubts about this entire episode. It doesn't seem plausible that the Associated Press (or the Chicago Sun Times, Rolling Stone, Forbes, etc.) would be so sloppy. Here's to hoping we'll all be pleasantly surprised come June!
My cousin's girlfriend's boss' grandson just found Led Zeppelin's image in a grilled cheese sandwich....the kid swears it looks just like them, and they seem to be standing on the What Stage!!!!
Between this news and the above posting from an un-regulated message board about a totally different band....I think it's pretty much a lock!

I'll believe it when I see it for sale on Ebay... and then I'll probably bid on it. Can you imagine how cool that'd look hanging over your bed?
