yeah i wish they released the lineup earlier because i really don't want to get my self geared up for dissapointment, and be pyshcyed to see a band, and find out their are conflicts. That said with the really long sets at 'roo this isn't as much a problem as Lollapalooza. Like last year i was able to see 45 mins each of Hot Chip/Gillian Welch, and an hour each of Manu Chao/Lily Allen which i was quite content and happy about

hopefully no FLips/galactic/girltalk/govtmule disasterpiece of a conflict this year
That was a bummer but I think I did it pretty fucking well. I saw Girl Talks amazingly surprising set (I didn't know him at all) then caught the rest of Flaming Lips. Then, since Gov't Mule played like 3 hours I saw the last 45 mins of their incredible set!
Missed Galactic but I'm not the biggest fan of them anyway.

the thing about the galactic show last year was its the hip hop stuff off of from the corner to the block. i think its good but i really like galactic via vintage reserve or ruckus

Yeah. I can't say I've gotten too much into them bc something just doesn't click for me. Stanton Moore is amazing, though!

Pearl Jam friday night.. JJ in ben harper's spot from last year with metallica on the other main stage.. Sunday night Phil & friends.. With Radiohead/Tool's sat. spot going to led zep... (i can still have big hopes).. those headliners have too big of a hole written all over them.. i'd like to see the intial lineup compared with band slots of last year to see what holes are there and how many big bands we could expect to see announced.

I was extremely dissappointed with the headliners.. however, the second tier bands are well worth the money.. I hope superfly makes up for it with a good schedule.. and an awesome superjam.

Everyone might disagree with me here, but for your first Bonnaroo trip you will definitely plan to see way more bands than you do. You realize it can be a long walk to see that band you only sort of dig, especially when you see other great and on the way! Plus naps become more tempting. You also realize you theory that you can see 15 minutes of one set then go catch 20 of another is pretty impractical. Maybe it's just me.
