Any other folks psyched for a second helping of Death Cab at Roo? Their sundown show at '06 was a highlight for me. (We Looked Like Giants was tremendous) When do you think they'll play?
i'm so very excited to finally see them. they're one of my favorite bands. i had tickets to see them about a year ago, at an ice arena in pittsburgh. i gave my tickets away so i could go w/ a friend to NYC for the weekend. and, it was one of the worst weekends of my life. and my friends never let down that i passed up, what i was told, an amazing show! so, i can't wait to finally see for myself if they put on an amazing show!

with all the connections to chris walla and ben gibbard at bonnaroo this year (tegan & sarah and jenny lewis from rilo kiley) i would love to see a little collaboration postal service style during their show. probably won't happen, but one can dream

They were awesome in '06. I loved their set a lot. I was very very close to the stage for them and Bright Eyes. I loved it. I was kind of off put by the whole staging, though. Ben was to far stage right, disconnected from the rest of the band. It felt like they should be called Ben Gibbard and the Death Cabs or something.

I am extremely excited for this set. The word on their new album is that it's very spacey, influenced by sludge-metal and synth-punk. Sounds like the kind of crazy curveball that Bonnaroo was made for.

narrow stairs is the new album and it comes out mid may, like the 14th i think. So they will definitely be playing brand new material which will be awesome, because i wasn't digging plans much, transatlantacism was my fav. though. i'll be so happy if they play prove my hypothesis though, that song is awesome.

I was kinda let down by their performance in '06. I've seen them three times, and I have to say that that was the worst I've seen them. But with a new album.. I'm hoping they'll be amazing this year. But I do have to say, for everyone that hasn't seen them, they do usually put on a pretty good show.
Man, I would love some Postal Service stuff!! Let's just put Rilo Kiley and Iron & Wine (I love their version of Such Great Heights) in a big ol' pot with Death Cab and stir it up!
