Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.

1) moe. played the first 3 bonnaroo's in a row but since they have alternated each year. Last year they didn't play so they are up to play this year
2)They have to promote the new album. Now you could say they didn't do that for the Conch but a lot of the songs were already being played at a lot of their shows. All songs on Sticks and Stones are new except for 2 songs. And if you've been to any shows this tour, they are really pushing the new album
3)This one is a stretch but a couple years back at bonnaroo when moe. played the sonic stage and also came on during UM to give them a break, moe. played a couple Metallica songs. Now i'm not saying these two bands are have ties with each other but it would be interesting to see them share a stage and i really can't think of any other time they would get a chance.
4) And my last reason i think moe will play is b/c Al sucks and he just wants to hear himself talk more and sing in his whinny voice and irritate me as much as possible

i can dig on these reasons. I'm by no means a moe.ron but i do love me some moe. and i regret missing the moe umph latenight a couple years back. i've got my fingers crossed for moe. for me and my roo-mates.
Dude, don't get me wrong, Al is a great guitar player but i think his voice is annoying and all he wants to do is talk in between songs. You never hear Chuck talk and Rob rarely talks and usually when he does he is making fun of Al and that is why Rob is the man.

i can understand some al.hate now and then, but its usually about a good cause anyways - pickin up trash, voting, blah blah blah - so i can tolerate a breather
rob definitely doesnt keep quiet most of the time, in fact he'd probably be considered the loudest, most obnoxious (ina good way) member of the band - chuck is more the quiet one of the front 3
any of the warts n alls are a good place to start with moe. IMO
Also the fact that Bonnaroo has updated their artist page to reflect things that have happened since they last played (such as the release of Sticks and Stones)
I hope they are there because they need to redeem themselves for me. I saw them last summer and it was terrible. It was like I was listening to a pop concert and not the classic Moe that I love so much. Give me the double live album any day!
1) i think that a lot of people are accustomed to using this formula for determining if a band is playing roo. however, i think you can no longer rely on the 'they played year x so they should play year y' theory because SF/AC has clearly shown that they are shifting the festival away from a jam-oriented festival.
2) this is the best point you make i think. and i agree.
3) seems a little more than a stretch that they'd play bonnaroo just for a chance to play metallica songs with metallica members. i DO think you're bound to see a member of UM sit in for a metallica song, or a metallica member sit in with UM.
4) opinion noted, disagreed with, and disregarded.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

I think it is possible. moe.'s promotion company is Big Hassle which is the same promotion company for Bonnaroo. If you look at Big Hassle's web page you can see many, many artist who have appeared at Roo.

speaking of um amd metallica...i saw umph in Birmingham a few months ago and they palyed a Metallica cover...'...and justice for all' i think. Could that have been a warning sign?
There's not a thing worth remembering When tomorrow can bring someone new Get used to the thought You can't be what you're not Life has already got plans for you
moe. late night in 02 may have been the best live show ever. I liked moe before that show but that is what reallly got me into them. They just don't make them like they used to.

I used to say this about Prince all the time. How bands would cover his songs or play Purple Rain during set breaks. No avail. Its a stretch but I hope you are right.

you should have gone to all good. it was fucking insane. you should listen to the moe headliner set and the moe superjam latenight on archives. it was 4 of the best hours of my concert going life.
and i also agree that a moe late night might get me to roo. they are due to play, they have a new album, and if they are at roo they are due for a late night.
