"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."

I have to agree with you. I would have loved to see STP this year. I can't believe that they are playing their first major show in who knows how long (6 yrs?) alongside Kid Rock!

Wow seriously... a little over 100 bucks for 1 ticket... for double that amount you can see like what 5 times the amount of bands in a much larger taste variety... Ill take my Roo any day over that... plus we get to see Pearl Jam!? Plus we have the Farm... I would love to see STP and all but I couldnt stand to see all those other bands... I defiantly can see why Roo is the mother of festivals right now!
Filter played what was possibly the worst show I have ever seen in 2002.
I saw them in 2002 (or maybe 2001) and they were actually really good. I can't say I was a fan before the show but they certainly made me more interested in their music.
Well, there are definitely a few bands i despise there...i took my girlfriend to a seether concert (we were actually there for breaking benjamin, but seether and 3 days grace played too) and i thought seether was garbage. I saw Disturbed at ozzfest, and surprisingly, they are really good live. David Draiman has a really good voice, even though his lyrics are kind of stupid. Staind played at WVU last year, and I thought they were really good. (granted i was hammered obliterated drunk at the time). I'd love to see STP, but buying a ticket of 100 dollars and knowing some of that money goes to 3 doors down makes up my mind in a hurry. You can bet my ass will be at the farm instead.

I saw them back in '02 as well (maybe '01?) and it is to this day the worst live show I've ever been too. And I dig me some Filter. But that was also apparently the height of lead singer Richard Patrick's addictions and he's been sober for several years now. I'll give 'em another shot.
On the topic of an STP reunion, I'd much rather have them than Metallica, but I don't make the line-up. And having STP and Filter at the same show...maybe a short Army Of Anyone (Richard Patrick and the DeLeo brothers) set? Would be groovy.
