I'll say it again: Sigur Ros are too large of a band to put in a tent. It will not happen. Not to mention, a tent couldn't hold the projection setup they use

kanye will play the main stage or a late night me thinks...how could he not with the GLOWSTICK tour goin' on...definetly a late night would be the best.
still need help on why sigur ros is so big. songs to help believe?
last year was my first bonnaroo. i've seen the MMJ 04 performance and heard plent about their 06 peformance. i've never seen MMJ. i'm most excited to see them (and pearl jam). i'm really hoping for a late night set as well.
Can someone tell me who played the late night which stage shows in 2006 and 2005? Or better yet, can someone post a link where I can see the 2006 and 2005 lineups?
I know last year both bands were found in the top 10 (Flaming Lips were #7 and String Cheese Incident were #9). I was wondering if that's the norm. If so, I would think Kanye and Lesh would be most likely from this year's top 10.
I don't think there was any late-night Which Stage action.
My worst conflicts deal with Ghostland / Kanye / Gogol / Superjam. I just know I am going to have to miss something for all of those bands. If !!! is thrown into the latenight mix, I'll be up the creek. Straight up bonerkill.
Whoops, forgot about the Volta. They take top priority in my book. A Kanye / Volta conflict would suck, and probably leave me running around like a crazy person.

So, 2007 was the first time they did that? I guess in that case we don't have much to go on for our guesses. Like I said, it was the 7th and 9th band on the list who played there, but it's conceivable that they make the decision based on which band would benefit most from a stage rather than a tent.
For example, I'm not sure about Phil Lesh or Levon Helm, but Kanye and Sigur Ros apparently have a pretty elaborate set-up. That could be reason alone to give them the stages. Not to mention the the fact that Sigur Ros would probably be best enjoyed out under the stars.
