Us Against the Crown was my favorite album for a solid 2 years. The new album isn't bad either. This is one of my top 3 shows this year. Anybody else got love for Chetro?
Close your eyes. Picture a convict. What's he wearing? Nothing special, baseball cap on backwards, baggy pants... he says something ordinary like... 'yo, thats shizzle.' Okay. Now slowly open your eyes again. Who are you picturing? A black man? Wrong. That was a white woman. Surprised? Well, shame on you.

theyve been my favorite bands for the last 2 years, and surpisingly, i've never seen them live. us against the crown is also one of my favorite cds EVER and if they bring it live like dispatch did in the garden last summer i think we're all in for a treat
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!! State Radio is my new favorite band for like the last 6 months. A little late night SR action is exactly what I need. I'm happy they are playing on Thursday night, too. Hopefully their show won't be to crowded and I can just wiggle up to the barracade.
I want to hear Camilo the most probably. But my other favorite songs (for those of you who want to download some to get the flavor) are Man in the Hall, Diner Song, People to People, Fall of the American Empire and Sudan. I'm so happy someone started this thread!
By the way, if you just wanna go out and buy an album, Us Against the Crown is definitely the way to go to get into them. Listen to it twice though. Straight through. When I first heard it, I though "Yeah, its good but my friend REALLY made a big deal about it" Then the second time through I was like "Damn that's good chicken!"
YES!!! I started listening to SR about a week ago while going through and downloading some of the bands I've never listened to who'll be playing the 'roo. They are awesome. This is one show that I'll definitely be at. I like Wicker Plane, Barn Storming, CIA, and Sudan.
i'm pretty sure i've seen them playing "The General" on some youtube videos, come to think of it "The General" is the only song i see of dispatch's on youtube for the most part which sorta sucks because though its a good song, its not their best imo.
My buddy, whom I must say is a musical knowledge genius, came in the other day while I was playing some SR and asked like 5 times if I was sure what was on wasn't Dispatch. They definitely have that sound.
