I've seen the mars volta twice(and the first show i saw I thought to be amazing), so I would probably skip them if there was a critical band conflict. Something about that shuffle and the music improvisations may draw me back to them.
Does anyone else consider the amount of times you've seen a band when figuring out schedule conflicts?
they are very passionate. The first time I saw them, Cedric bitched out the crowd for talking during Saul Williams' set.
