Why I am just now checking out this huge group of amazing musicians? This is basically another super jam that we'll have at Bonnaroo. Some of the people in this group, I had no idea - Feist, Kevin Drew, Jason Collett, Emily Haines, I think there's 19 members in all, it also features members of Metric, Stars, The Weakerthans and The Dears. I was really hoping for Polyphonic Spree this year, but this may be the answer that solves the problem if the Spree don't come to the farm this year. I just hope that BSS isn't scheduled as a closing act in a tent on Sunday, like the spot where Feist was last year. I really don't want to miss this band, but I don't want them playing opposite Plant/Krauss or Ben Folds or anyone good at all.
Well, it's not so much a band with 19 members as a band with 19 rotating members, so there's really no telling what lineup they'll be sporting when they come to Roo. I know that since her solo career took off Feist really hasn't been very involved, and some of the other people who were big early on in their career have moved on...don't listen to me, I'm not exactly an expert, but I believe in their live shows they pretty much go it as a traditional band, like 5 members or so.
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. Well don't you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.

When I saw them at their last show before this little hiatus, they had 12 members on stage. Then they brought out a few special guests. Then when I saw them supporting Kevin Drew (their singer) on his solo tour, there were four regular BSS members as well as Andrew Kenny (American Analog Set). There is already a thread about this band, though. Go here.
