theyre booked to open the riverbend (schmiverend) festival in chattanooga on the 12th...maybe theyll drop in to roo the day after and play that night?
edit:the schmiverend festy runs from june 6-14,so if the crowes play between the 6th and tenth,it might actually be worth buying a day pass to get a head start on the music for the week...

Crowes are opening the fest on June 6th. I hope they get added, but there is that "can't play roo, if you've played the surrounding area close to roo within a certain time leading up to bonnaroo" rule. Don't know how strict that rule is though. Black Crowes -> Pearl Jam -> Sigur Ros would be amazing as long as Levon Helm doesn't conflict.
I second this!! karma for being enthusiastic for the Crowes..... I was playing "Lost Crowes" at work last night and I ended up changing it because people didn't seem to dig it.

omg i would have chris robinsons babies...millions of them
amorica is my favorite album...descending is my all time favorite song. that slide guitar in the second verse during "and i will let it slide...slide like mercury"...omg it just makes me close my eyes and smile every time!!! ;D
When I saw um at the Tabernacle on the reunion tour a couple years they played Descending and afterwords people chanted "eddie" (the piano player for those that don't know) for what seems like 10 minutes (probably not that long, but I was "tall" so it seemed like a century). Great song and Amorica is their best album.......can't wait for the new one.

Marry me.
Amorica is my current favorite with Lost Crowes close behind! If they played a hidden gem of theirs, "Title Song," any time of day (preferably late night) it would blow my mind. This band is so amazing. If the come to Bonnaroo this year...absolute perfection. Please Gods of 'Roo!!!

I would say it is a pretty good possibility, but I'm kind of indifferent on this one. I like them, but I'm not a huge fan and wasn't that blown away by them at All Good a couple of years ago. But for you big fans: I hope you get your wish!

It was 1992 and I was a senor in HS. My father lives in Atlanta and allowed me to come down and miss a week of school just to go see them at the Fox for the High as the Moon tour. I had been to a few “hair band” type concerts before this one but that was the most incredible show for me. I have seen them a few times since and it’s been great every time, however, nothing will compare to that experience. Thanks for letting me reminisce like some old lady
They are my favorite band so I would LOVE it. But I don't think it's possible. Apparently Bonnaroo (and other festivals) have exclusivity clauses preventing bands from playing similar festivals within a certain area. The theory is that allowing them to do so would prevent fans from travelling as much resulting in decreased ticket sales.
Not sure how true this this is but it's what I heard. Seems pretty plausible.
I'm still holding out hope for Marc Ford and/or Blue Floyd!
there have been issues in the past w/ the riverbend/bonnaroo exclusivity thing: 2006 warren haynes only missed year at the roo, because allmans were headlining riverbend. 2007 moe. was notably absent from roo, instead playing riverbend
in short the two fests have never shared in the same year and there is no reason to expect it to change. hate to be the bearer of bad news, cuz i was hoping for the crowes too.
While this seems crushing news to me...with Bonnaroo sharing Jack Johnson with Coachella this year I'm still hopeful. I know he's headlining a day at Coachella, but has it been confirmed whether he is at the 'Roo yet?
But I keep hope alive. Because if the Crowes are there I will cry tears of joy.

I hope Bonnaroo dos not waste there money on this band. I paid money to see them in Charlotte and it was horrible. Every song i heard sounded the same. Thank god Robert Randolph opened.

I would like to see The Black Crowes play the same song 20 times in a row with RR opening for them.

I've seen them about 15 times over the last few years and their Bonnaroo set from 2005 was the best I saw. They were very on that day. I hope this happens.
