Karma for you uneven. I have been listening to Mike Patton's work since Real Thing and have loved everything he's done. I saw Fantomas here in Austin a few years ago and they were sick! I thought since Rothbury is almost doing a reunion thing with most of String Cheese and half of Phish they could do a Faith No More reunion. That would be awesome!
I'd go to any festival that had a Faith No More reunion. My favorite band that I never got see live. I'd love to see anything with Patton at a fest but I can't see it happening.
Uneven said it best....anything PATTON. kidA...your sig?....the Jerk? LOL
yes, i grew up a poor black child.
i don't know about the godfather of nu metal at roo though. not being negative, i like patton. i especially like him when he gets chino moreno drunk in europe somewhere and chino gets his ass whipped by security. then he takes his pants off and shows everybody in eastern europe his "little chino" while he talks about ted nugent. that was one of the greatest moments in recent rock history.

Wow! Is there some video of this? I like the Deftones but I have not heard that much of Team Sleep. His voice is just amazing. but..I digress...we were talking about Mr. Patton.

i don't know about a video but i have the bootleg of that whole set. it was a deftones set. you should be able to find an article or some pictures though.
team sleep would be killer at bonnaroo but i think that whole thing is on hold for a while.

^^^A d-bag? Really?
In any case, I like to see any incarnation of Patton live any time I can. I've been begging the lineup gods for this one for a long time. PLEASE this year!

* At a 1992 Angel Dust tour show in Lisbon, Faith No More invited the audience to throw garbage on stage. Patton then rummaged around and ate some of the trash. * During the Angel Dust tour Faith No More played a show at Ogden Street Musical Hall in Buffalo, New York. Patton performed a lewd act with a microphone on stage. As a result Patton and Faith No More were kicked out of their own concert and banned from Buffalo for many years. Patton has recently stated that his relationship with Buffalo, NY is "all good", and has been back to Buffalo since. * During the MTV Music Awards performance of "Epic" in 1990, Patton flopped around on stage like the controversial dying fish from the music video. [3] * On the BBC Top of the Pops in 1990 Patton refused to mime the lyrics for "Epic", preferring to open and close his mouth like a fish. * At a 1995 concert in Chile, the excited crowd began to spit on Faith No More. Patton encouraged this and even invited people to spit in his open mouth while singing. * Patton regularly did flips while singing on stage. He often landed painfully on his back, but would get right up and continue singing without interruption.
i mean, all this shit is like GG Allen Status... Mike Patton is a maniac...

Must be personal preference? I, on the other hand, have always loved him. I met him once when I was in college and he was funny. In any case, the music is what's really important.

You're right, he IS a maniac, but these shenanigans just make me laugh. Except the spitting. That's just grody. Then again, it's also very punk. They used to do that crap all of the time at punk shows back in the 70's. I think it's how Joe Strummer got Hepatitis. Again, GRODY!

Double qoute because I love the word "shenanigans" AND I disagree with the GG Allen comparison becuase GG was just a gross disturbed man. Other than the spitting thing...Mike pales in comparison. "IMO" ;D

whoa whoa gg allin makes mike patton look like a carebear (sorry couldnt think of anything better) mike ate some spit gg ate peoples sh!t.
anyways patton in any form would be nice peeping tom, bungle, faith no more... any one of his 50 other projects.
His set with PEEPING TOM was one of the absolute highlights of Lollapalooza 2006. I'm not going to say I listen to all of his projects, but Peeping Tom or Mr. Bungle would be great. Faith No More would be incredible. Obviously, that would be too big of an addition at this point, though.
Wow! Didn't expect so much response to that wish lol
I was so lucky to catch FNM at the 930 club before they disbanded......my brother (lucky bastage that he is) got to see General Patton performance in Brooklyn awhile back....
Anyway if I had my pick, Mr. Bungle performing California would be SO NICE.
For those not in the know about Monsieur Patton, Mr. Bungles California is an epic sweeping surf rock meets jamming experimentation masterpiece......nothing truly heavy about it. Just......amazing.
Then again I'd be happy just watching him screech for 30 minutes. The man fascinates the sh1t out of me and is literally awe-inspiring.
Thanks everyone for the support in that idea, SO glad Im not the only Patton fan in the house!

This guy is one of the biggest D bags in the history of music. I hope to all hell Roo would never get him to play. Seriously he is scum of the earth. He may be talented but I am sorry, you do not go up on stage with your band each dressed as a different member of the chili peppers and then mock Hillell Slovak's death by pretending to shoot heroin on stage. That is just disrespctful and disgusting.
