I didn't see a thread for Claypool on the first two pages, and that just didn't seem right. I'm lovin' this year's lineup, but I haven't given up hope on Les in any incarnation he chooses. Just wanted to show some love!
Just a coupla vids I was watching this morning. What form of Claypool is your favorite?
i believe les claypool tried out for metallica back in the day.
how cool would that be to see.
edit: this is what i found on wiki
In 1986, after the death of Metallica bassist Cliff Burton, Claypool auditioned to play bass for Metallica, playing the song "Master of Puppets" on his bass. In Metallica's Behind the Music, Claypool said that during the audition he wanted the others to "jam on some Isley Brothers tunes," after which Lars Ulrich asked whether he's "not really used to playing this kind of music." James Hetfield remarked that Claypool didn't win the job because "he was too good."
Yes Les of any shape or form would be great...saw him with Primus back in 92 and it was one of those shows I will never forget. THE EDGE in FT.Lauderdale biggest fucking mosh pit I had seen!
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!

Oh boy I love Les, as a musician and an inspiration to play bass. Saw him and gabby lala at a small venue and got to be real close. Hes such a sick bassist and great showman.

As much as I want it to be the case, I don't see him being added.
In fact, the more I think about it, the more I think that good ol' Sweet Jesus' thread from long ago about Les and Bonnaroo makes a lot of sense... Anyone else remember that thread (more or less rhetorical question ) I'll try to dig it up...

I want to go but it is sold out. I am trying to win them on the radio one last time today. Can't afford to buy them anyway. This time of year it kills me because so many good shows come to the OP and I just tell myself....Bonnaroo is more important...save save save!

For sh!ts and giggles, a clip of Primus playing Master of Puppets:
I've been saying this for a while...Les in any form!!! Les and Buckethead would definitely be quacking awesome. I just saw where Buckethead is playing Wakarusa. If we're just wishing, Les w/Oysterhead. I like the guitar with the big elk horn on it that Trey played.
This word also has a underground meaning once you break it down. Let’s take “Bonn” for example and it actually turns into the word “Bone”. We all know gays use this word to describe the action of when they are fecal fisting their Cuban cabana boy at their sex bath house parties. Now let’s look at Roo, “Roo” is short for “Kangaroo”.So put the full true message together and you get“Bone a Kangaroo

Les and Buckethead are like kindred spirits. Especially when Claypool wears the pig mask...lol A couple of masked goof-ball gurus.
And what about that elk horn guitar?! And didn't Les like lock his bass up with the horns at one point? Wicked!
All I know is, we better see Claypool skipping around in circles at some point at Roo!
the show last night was awesome. not as good as the frog brigade, but as long as les is there it's good. the opening band, secret chiefs 3, should be at bonnaroo as well.
