I feel like I have the Gorillaz isn't a real band argument with someone every couple of months. It goes something like this:
Me: They're cartoons. Hopeful Fan: But they played MTV *insert link here* Me: But those are cartoons. Another Hopeful Fan: But they also played here *insert link here* Me: But those are also cartoons.

And round and round we go
Perhaps these hopeful fans never had this as evidence...

i don't think the movies will happen either. there had been rumors of a 3D tour without any live band behind the screens that wasn't going to happen until 2010 but a few months ago damon seemed to scrap that idea.
i'm just glad i got to see that real band with all the guests from demon days show up at the show except mf doom and dennis hopper. there is a dvd out of the show that i saw a few years ago where they played demon days start to finish. the shows i saw were the last time the gorillaz performed in the states and i can almost gurantee they will never be back.
all i can hope is that i can see damon's other project the good the bad and the queen which for all i know only played 1 u.s show and it was last year at coachella but i don't think i'll ever hear from them again either

Try to catch the "Gorillaz: Live in Harlem" (I think) on MusicHD channel somtime. That is them in the flesh and it is nothing but awesome. Also it would be a good excuse to have Del the Funkee Homosapien and Danger Mouse to show up play with them, but alas it probably wont happen since they disbanded.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."

I saw the Good, the Bad and the Queen last year and that was an unreal performance. I would have given my left nut (I'll say that now, because it isn't happening) to see a Gorillaz show
The Good, the bad and the queen is prob my least favortive Albarn project, i just felt like it was lacking something, Mali Music is prob my favorite of his recent projects everyone should check it out if they havent heard of it "Damon Albarn - Mali Music" also if ur a Toubab fan u will enjoy this album
