I'm a novice acoustic guitar player and have been thinking about moving to a lighter guage string to play with as I'm due for a string change. Any suggestions?
Im thinking of going to a lighter gauge as well. Lighter gauge strings are easier to play, however if you are playing with other people they are not as loud.

I just have a set of Martins on mine. Ive never used DR guitar strings but I use their bass strings and they are FANTASTIC! I have used the DR Lowriders (like Gordo uses) and currently have a set of DR Marcus Miller Fatbeams. for electric I like to use flat wound or ribbon wound strings....they are harder to find without ordering them and if i go into a shop they always look at me like im crazy and they try to tell me that i dont want flatwound strings and I always have to tell them that in fact i do. I love the tone they give.
