what happened to over 100 bands?
The fine print: "The remaining bands will consist solely of those found in the campgrounds, as well as bands of roving wookies who will steal all your goodies."
bummer, oh well...the bands that are already confirmed are great anyways...come to think of it, if anymore bands were added i'd probably run into a lot of schedule conflicts
You're going to get two or three more rounds of additions, depending on whether or not they announce jazz tent and cafe acts separately on their own or in combination with other artists.
This man came up to me just the other day, asked me I'd been born again. I told him, "I didn't think I had." That I had been rejected. But I think, Hell's got all the good bands anyway. And Bonnaroo.
Haha, we'll get some more additions, but the big ones are probably finished. No Mars Volta, they'll be in Japan, and...we know the Wood Brothers are gonna be there.
Wednesday appears to be the magic day for additions this year, so wait til wednesday. I think we're due for something.
^^^My understanding was that Volta WAS on the lineup but then backed out.
If that's the case I would tend to think we're in store for at least one more major addition as Volta would've likely been near the top of the bill. I think between them and Black Kids, the room for additions got a little bigger this year...
^^^ Yes, the Volta backed out. However, even though the Volta and Black Kids have been dropped, I don't know if they're gonna be able to get someone at the caliber of The Mars Volta. The lineup is already so deep (for me), it really doesn't matter too much (to me).
I'm stoked to see who they'll add, though. Come on, June!

Nah, they were never officially added by Bonnaroo, but Jambase and the New York Timeskinda leaked them on the lineups.
As for Squidius' question, I don't know if there'll be any official explanation, Cupcake (here on inforoo) knows someone who told her they just decided at the last minute not to do it. And like two days ago someone posted tour dates they have in Japan during the week of Bonnaroo.
As far as Claypool, that'd be the icing on the cake. Hopefully we'll get him back in Tennessee.
there has to be one more big announcement, at least. the "artist in residence" slot is still open, and you can't follow JPJ with anything weak, or people will notice. roo is always trying to top itself, and it shouldn't be any other way. though my clapton wish is purely a wish, there are several folks on the lineup that he has history with that would be good cameo spots. clapton's presence would make levon helm the "can't miss" show of the weekend for me.
yea im completely thrilled with the lineup as is specially since the biscuits got added taht was my icing on the cake, but hey more music doesnt hurt but it doesnt matter much to me if people get added or wahtever unless its bobby weir or keller, trey would be cool to if he can keep his ass outta trouble
I'm curious to see who else gets added as well. I foresee a great deal of scheduling conflicts if any more bands get added. I already foresee scheduling conflicts and the lineup isn't even complete yet! I remember that moe. was rumored to be added because the 'roo website had updated their bio but I don't see how they could fit into the already jam-packed latenight spots.
