According to his website...... www.mikefarrismusic.net/tour.php . He used to be in The Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies and he has released a couple of solo albums that are good. He has a great voice and I believe he is related to the Robinson brothers of The Black Crowes. I will definetly be at this show.
Hell yeah. Grew up with his family.....Dont know bout the Robinson bros, think one is a friend of his. they played some together.. This guy has an awesome sound....
Yeah, he's a great singer. The SCW were one hell of a band and would be at the top my list if they were to play Bonnaroo.
I believe that he's a distant relative of the Robinsons (3rd cousin or something like that). Rich and Mike played a couple of accoustic shows around 4 years ago at Arlene's Grocery in NYC. I was there and it was dynamite.
Mike also had a band called Peaceful Kneival with some pretty heavy musicians. One of the best cover bands I've ever seen. Their version of Down By the River was unreal.
I guess he's now a big time born again Christian and plays very spiritual songs (and Christian Rock festivals).

I saw him at the warren haynes xmas jam last year - great voice! I'd definitely check out his show. While his newer stuff is religious-themed, I definitely wouldn't call him christian-rock or anything like that. He's really soulful.
