Managed to track down a used copy of Ozomatli's new record Don't Mess With The Dragon yesterday and I'm lovin' it! Seen 'em live a few times now and their live CD/DVD set is totally awesome!
Anyone else excited as all get out for their set at 'Roo this year?

I'm excited! I got their song "Magnolia Soul" last year as part of the tons and tons of free music I ended up with from Roo and I absolutely love it. So I was pretty psyched when they made the lineup this year. I'll admit that I still haven't checked out much of their stuff, but I did get Don't Mess With The Dragon and I'm enjoying the songs I've listened to so far. I feel like that show will be a deliciously energy-filled dance fest - sort of like Manu Chao's show last year, maybe?
I saw them at Coachella a while ago and they brought the whole band down into the crowd for a big acoustic jam.
Did they do their drum circle at all? I'm definitely thinking about paying for one of those "make your own drums" this year if they do it and taking it to Ozo just in hopes that they do their end of show drum circle ritual. Would be awesome.

they are #1 on my list of bands to see. the first oZomatli album is one of my all time favs. i am dying to see them live!!! and i bet they will have some guests
Looking forward to this show too. Have seen them quite a bit recently and they are touring with Tre Hardson from the Pharcyde so they do some of those jams too.

I was excited, but their Langerado performance tempered that excitement slightly. I'll still go if there aren't any major conflicts b/c I've always loved them.
