Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Who's warming up before Roo? I think I am heading to Juliapalooza in St. Cloud, MN in May. (Although MN in May might not be too warm!!! ) Most hip hop from what I can tell. Atmosphere, Hydrophonics, Leroy Smokes. Looks to be a good time. Agree that Slug would be a great addition to Roo.
I'm going to Hookahville over Memorial Weekend. I've been to that show twice. It's awesome. Roughly 8000-10,000 people with Ekoostik Hookah playing both nights. Check out the website www.hookahville.com

i probly won't be going to any festivals, but i've got a couple concerts lined up the strokes the vines (most likely) and incubus (maybe) i was also thinkin about goin to this aerosmith concert
The 10000 Lakes Festival in Detroit Lakes, MN is over the 4th of July weekend this year. I was planning on going this year, but the lineup thus far is pretty uninspiring.
I was thinking of heading to 10000 lakes as well. Haven't checked out the line up yet though, will have to look now that you mention it. We have a really small litttle "festival" in Iowa called Mother Nature's Ball in August. But mostly it is local talent, and its more like a weekend of camping with some good music filling the air. Its a nice way to end the summer though.
Memphis in May Beale Street Music Fest. Yeah, should be a good time. Usually is, bout the best thing in Memphis. If you have not been to Memphis this is the best time to visit. The music fest is Friday April 30th - Sunday May 2nd. But all during the month of May there is something going on. Lot of good people, good times and great music. For a lineup of bands check out www.memphisinmay.org.

I'm not warming up with any other festivals... but my boyfriend and I are going to two Sam Bush shows (May 14th and 15th)! We got amazing seats for both shows and I am so excited! Anybody else from IL goin' to see Sammy?

Well, it's not really called a "festival" but it's gonna be! I'm heading to Vegas for Phish in 3 weeks & am already dancin'!
I'ts too bad that Phish and Primus have pretty much been the only bands I've been to in the last year or so & am sooo looking forward to the insane amount of boogeying at roo!!!
I hope I can get the damned days off work without just up and quitting!

I was also thinking of heading up to 10k lakes but man oh man the lineup smells. I mean the bands are good but there is no headlining band that could carry the festival. Specially for those ticket prices! I hope the people putting that together get their act together.
I just saw that 10k added 311 and the Roots so I'm going to reconsider getting tickets, but since I'll be living in the area this summer I might try to get a job there that weekend.
Hey, Im not really planning on going to any festivals before roo, but i AM planning on seeing Ani Difranco may 10th in norfolk, va, horray:) thats about the only plan I have prior to bonnaroo

Great Scene!

I got this off the Billboard website about Lollapalooza:

I might check out the Great Bamboozle festival in Asbury Park, NJ right before Roo. moe. and the Wailers are rumored to be performing and past years have seen The Roots and MMW as well.
SMILEFEST at Van Hoy Campground, near Statesville, NC, July 22-25. Sweet place...a very special site. It ain't Hornings, but it's still home to me.
Umphreys, Keller, Acoustic Syndicate, Garaj Mahal, Larry Keel and all those guys, Tony Rice, Barefoot Manner....I'm sure I've left out a ton and it's gonna be a big, big time.
Early bird tickets are $70 and end on March 31. They are giving away a free Relix subscription with your early bird order while supplies last.

Ever been to the Playa at Black Rock City? Want to come to the Southeastern Regional Burn at Deerfields, North Carolina the last weekend in July? This is a first!!! 20 minutes south of Asheville, NC. 1 hour north of Greenville/Spartanburg, SC. Creating a participatory, gifting community in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains!
Come be a part of Fire On the Mountain. Tickets go on sale very soon!
Check out High Sierra Music Festival - fantastic venue (Pool!!), great music (last year saw Steve Winwood and Del McCrory Band on the same stage...wow) and awesome scenery...

Very cool! ;D
I'm pumped for this, although I'm not sure where in the hell they'll host a 2-day festival in the Chicagoland area...unless it's without the camping aspect.
Also (supposedly) on board for the festival are Modest Mouse, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and the Killers (who are amazing live!).
After the crap lineup last year that you couldn't have paid me to see, I'm sorta excited.

haha - thanks.
yeah, i've missed brmc everytime they've jogged through chicago. they played with the rapture a week or so ago, but that rapture cd disappointed me, so i wasn't about to shell out for that one.
seriously though, it's sort of a mystery as to how they'll pull off a 2-day fest anywhere near an urban area like Chicago or Detroit...and i don't think they'll survive with a line-up like that unless they stay near the cities. i guess it could just be 2 days of music, sans the camping or any accomodations, but that's sorta lame.
I think the palooza concept is a good idea, I just think you need a bigger headliner that Morrisey or the Flaming Lips to attract people. Not putting them down, but they are not bands that come to mind to headline a well know festival. They need a Beck or a Radiohead ..someone like that to reel ppl in. No matter, the quality of bands are better though.

You guys need to head to Burning Man, it's a must, a life-changing experience. Labor day weekend, hour and a half outside of Reno, NV. A bit expensive but worth every penny.
