Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Thanks Chris - I kept trying to say just what you said in a non offensive way and got ignored - we did what we did because we wanted to - people need to quit overanalyzing what Kramer should or should not do - it is done - he is there - he will be at Bonnaroo - buy the man a beer if you want to - or don't if you don't - but quit condemning him and questioning his motives when none of us have had a chance to meet him except Chris and Teine

I was enjoying reading this thread and I still am, but unfortunatly some of the more cynical people are detracting from what I think is a very nice thing your all doin to help these guys out. They clearly did not ask for help, as was already stated, so all of you that are complaining need to stop killing the vibe.
i think everyone's just getting a little antsy as the countdown to blast-off nears---i'm noticing a little negativity aross the boards----a few more days to go, let's keep positive and keep the cool 'roo vibe ---i am getting more and more stoked w/ each passing minute
i can tryuly see btoh sides of it. but labeling kramer as a homeless begger is a litle harsh. it sounds like he even came with what he was told would get im into work. the temporary ss card thing. its not like kramer showed up 2 weeks early with a sign saying buy me a ticket. hes just had some bad luck 1500 miles from home and was in need of some help. i for one am glad he found it. if you cant afford it then dont do it. if you thinkt here are better ways to spend your money then go ahaead and do that. but i dont see a reason to continually harp on the subject and how worng others are for caring and helping. i would be curious to see how many of the people that are griping about kramer have kids. once you have kids you understand how much a smile on someneelses face can make your day. you may not have the money to give if you have kids but youll understand that there is more to life then buying yourself something and giviing your self a good time.
by the way i would also say it is likely that most of the "donate hate" is probably coming from first time rooers. once you have been you have a better understanding of how people could be so giving. roo is the way society should be. people looking out for eachother. fuc.k the police!!!!!
not that you guys are bad or haters. just seems like you have mislabled kramer and are now beating him up pretty hard over it.
That's cool, Kramer came w/ nothing, asked for nothing, but found kindness in Tennessee. Touching.
We live in a great country, one that allows us to have bonnaroo. Bonnaroo is awesome. I've been twice before. The vibe, the energry, the music, the community--it's a rare thing and I love it. Some of my previous roo neighbors are now good friends of mine, even though they live all over the country. I've always given a wayward stranger a chair or a beer or a water (usually water).
That said, in 04 we had some neighbors from Wisconsin who showed up pretty much broke and empty handed. We fed them and gave them shade and made them welcome. By Saturday our bottled water supply was gone and we were hording the last few gallon jugs, cursing the thirsty mob of Wisconsin kids who seemed to multiply as bonnaroo progressed.
They asked for nothing, we opened our camp to them, and they screwed us. It happens at bonnaroo. It's NOT the trend, but there are definitely people there that are looking to do more than just mooch.
The point is, I just don't give people the benefit of the doubt too much anymore. That's awesome that y'all helped out this Kramer camp. I'm real proud of you. Look, I'm just as psyched as everyone else for bonnaroo. Maybe I'm a bit cynical, but I just calls 'em as I sees 'em.
Yeah, it's a fine line. Me, I make wookies do little dances or blow smoke rings (they have to bum a cig first) before I'll kick them down a water or something...
I am going to call Teine right now and see if we can get together and make it happen.
Here's an update, my wife, kids and I went to the pool today and on the way out, when we past Kramer's area, he was in there with the farmer guy who is selling the ice, working!!
When we came back about 4 hours later he was STILL working.
As I have said all along, he just wanted someone to let him work and he would!!!
He was proving it today.
I am going to try to see what's up with Teine and Kramer, if we can get together, I will try to get pics up tonight!

Kramer was very excited and thankful!!!
You guys are all wonderful!!
Damn that just put the biggest smile on my face!!!! i just spent all day long preparing for roo with my brother and friends and now im even more excited!!!!
Great pics man. I haven't been on here for awhile cause I'm working every day but this just brought all the excitment back. Hope to see you guys there!
Great job to the both of you, dmb and mr. t. I can't tell you how cool I think this is.
Sadly, Relix told me to work on my other story instead of this one (for an issue of the Bonnaroo Beacon), though the editor called Kramer's story "interesting." I'm going to print the thread to a PDF at work this afternoon and send it to him anyway; maybe his folks will work it up. They've got four days to fill.
That's not a bad idea for anyone, actually. Print the thread and make a little "Camp Kramer Comix" book to take with you to share with your buddies old and new at V Roo!
