radiohead in toronto in 2002. opening bands were the beta band and kid koala. got to hear soundcheck and the show was pure brilliance. three encores. the full moon emerging from the clouds. thom telling everyone to save their money so we could move their.
bob dylan at the state theatre in detroit 3/16/04 the band and bob were just on fire. not my favorite set list that i have seen from the man but the performance was amazing.

Radiohead in 2002 also...in Grant Park here in Chicago, also a full moon, gorgeous night, three encores also...same openers, incredible fucking show that I doubt will ever be topped.
After a ridiculously intense version of the Nation Anthem to open, Thom is stomping around the stage with this look of rage, looks up to see a huge SANYO blimp...he freaked out and screamed out "SOMEONE SHOOT THAT FUCKER DOWN," before tearing into the next song.

In no particular order:
--Dead (w/Dylan) at Darien Lake, NY 2003. They tore the roof off and just kept comin' and comin'.
--Medeski, Martin & Wood at Bonnaroo last year. I'm not sure I've ever gotten down like that, before or since.
--Phish in Albany in, what was it, '99, maybe. It was the opener of their last tour before the big hiatus. The last time they'd be the Phish I really knew and loved. Caught both nights, so I tend to think of them as one collossal show.
Steely Dan 2000/2003 1997 pearl jam/rolling stones oakland grateful dead in vegas (steve miller opener) grateful dead in vegas (sting) grateful dead in vegas (DMB) pink floyd 1994 san diego and rose bowl the who irvine JGB southwestern college .........too tough to pick all time favorite Bonnaroo 2004!!?? ;D
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers ('92, Into the Great Wide Open Tour) Albany, NY Dylan PSU 2001 Dylan Elmira, NY 2002 Blues Traveler Elmira, NY 2003 Barnaked Ladies NYE Buffalo, NY 2000
and last but not least, (even I think they have sh**tty personalities and I don't agree with many things they say) Metallica July 4th '92
p.s. Jay, I too was at Darien Lake for Dylan/Dead last year. That was a great show!!!!!
Radiohead also. I saw them at a festival in Landgraaf, Holland in June 2001. Tool played before them and my friend and I were in "the pit" which was pretty crazy(especially when on some killer amsterdam boomers). We saw a few songs then headed over to get a good spot for Radiohead. It was OUT OF THIS WORLD. 70,000 people from all over europe. Fires burning. The last words of the show are still ringing in my ears. "I'm not here, this isn't happening." still gives me chills.

Hmmm... Jane's Addiction in um... 02? Live opened up for them (this was a few days after 9/11) and did a really emotional set... did a cover of "imagine" too. Good shite.
Oh. And a little show DMB did in Central Park in September
