I was 17 and saw them play the 8x10 club on 12/7/89 in Baltimore Md. I've seen some great shows but only 25 in all. I will miss the boys dearly, but I think it is the right decision on Trey's part even if the rest of the band wasn't all for it. A team is only as strong as its weakest link. Not to say Trey is weak, but his heart was not in it anymore.

I'm a youngin, 20, and only got to see my first show there comeback tour in CINCI. I've seen seven so far and am so disapointed that I won't be able to see anymore.

On the grass at SPAC in June of '95. Only the second show I'd ever been to. (The first was The Grateful Dead three or four days earlier in Albany.) The only song I knew was Bouncin' and the encore--Rocky Top. But everything I heard really blew my then-short hair back.
First marshmallow war. First time I heard a crowd "mooing".
I just knew on the way home that night that, in that last week of my senior year, I'd tapped into something...big.

11/15/98 Murphy Center - Murfreesboro, TN
that was a good time... i'll never forget the 'undercover' cops in the lot. blue jeans, tyedie's, doo-rags, 2-way radios, cop sunglasses... wish i had a camera.
12-10-99 at the spectrum in Philly. It was the Bowie that blew my mind that night. I wish I had more shows under my belt, but I've seen them enough to appriciate what they are capable of. I'm just glad I got to see the shows I that I did.
UIC Pavilion in Chicago, 1994 Day before Thanksgiving? I didn't look up the date or set list but I remember the Llama opener and the Reba like it was yesterday.
It wasn't until my second show 12/9/95 in Albany that I was really initiated.
can't remember my first 92? 93? but I do remember that UIC show, Faletti....we had about ten 14 yr olds in front of us, trippin' balls!! Did you catch the Quadrophenia show at UIC? talkin' bout my g..g..generation!!

Had plenty of friends at that show, but I spent most of '94-'98 catching fall/winter tours at Albany/MSG (college in NY). Summer tours I caught at the World (now Tweeter Center) or Alpine .
the december cincy shows in '99, i had the flu with like a 102 degree fever. probably had no business being at any type of concert, i could barely move, but it was still cool. this chick that was sitting next to me keep telling me "its a phish show duude, you should be daaancing!" i tried telling her I was sick but i guess she didnt believe me or something.

I drove from TN to Indiana with no tickets for my first shows at Deer Creek in '97. Found miracles for both nights and never looked back. Also went to the '98 show at Murphy Center here in Murfreesboro. All told I hit 9 shows from '97 through the final tour. At Itchycoo Park(the failed festival before the Roo), I told all of my friends that if Phish were to play on that same site 100,000 people would show up. They all just rolled their eyes. I'm still waiting for Phish to play, but I think Bonnaroo made my point.
Trippin, that Cap Center show was my first show too! I had pretty sweet seats also, but they got really crowded with people without tickets for the area, that was when I learned that Phish Phans sometimes aren't as polite as Deadheads. It was a killer show nonetheless.
this thread makes me miss phish........ my first show was lemonwheel!!! i was lucky enough to go to 15 shows after that........now phix is breaking up too, is anyone going to see them??
never got to see them. which sux. but oh well what can i do. im hoping a reunion comes soon. never saw phix either. but i wll be seeing their final show at gratefulfest. im pretty excited about it.

Ahh. I long for those carefree days of 2004. I was just a young whippersnapper then. My how times have changed
Seriously though, I really hope Coventry doesn't wind up being my last Phish show. We need a sober Trey to get Phish back and back on track. That way I can get rid of that nasty taste Coventry left in my mouth.

NYE 2000 Big Cypress Seminole Reservation!!! I told the beginning of this story at another thread so i'll be quick with the intro. Just got outta juvie prison (thievery, only businesses but i learned my lesson), Never hearda phish, went to florida with no ticket, got one at gas station but lost my ride. Got a vendor to gimme a ride through a back way found my friends in like 5 minutes (what awesome luck/skill). Anyway It was 1 1/2 hours until new years, 2 days prior me and my pal took too much of EVERYTHING, he said he wanted to lay down so he can "think really loud", he passes out, i mean like a stone, totally comatose, i was screaming and violently shaking him (we each had half an oz of the best fungus i've tasted) i leave and head towards the concert area, meet this dude who is passing out liquid, 10 or so drops later, i wake up and am in one of the small creeks that run through the camp grounds (usually filled with gators and snakes), Somehow i walked 15 mintues to the concert area but ended up 20 mintues in the other direction, change my clothes head towards stage, 30 mintues until the year 2000, everyhing is hitting me hard, way too introspective. Then this older black fella stares me down as i sit against a tree, he walks over and says everything will be alright (must've read my thoughts since im good at "hiding my inner fear") this dude totally releived me and i shared some nugz. 10 or so minutes until 2000 and father time is riding his huge puppet bicycle, phish come out in a huge hotdog throwing glow string at everyone, they release balloons and play Meatstick, 30 second countdown, The best feeling i have ever had in my life, trey is going crazy high pitched right at 11:59:59, this hot hippy chick starts making out with me ( i felt special but she soon made out with 3 or 4 next hahaha at least i was first!) i spark up and pass around, they start playing auld lang syne, oh my god guys, the energy was amazing all of this followed by a 25 mintue Down with disease AND a 7 hour long set with portopotties on stage. Man oh man, that is the reason i have many phish albums and enjoy festivals! sorry for ranting

My first Phish show was Raleigh 97. I was suppossed to go see them in 95 in Charleston SC but didnt because I had no clue. Then I saw them every chance I had. I went to Oswego and Big Cypress as far as fests go. They were the shiz. Hows that for trolling? F*cking trying to get shit started with me?
