So, is anyone planning or considering going to Coachella this year? The line-up is pretty frickin sweet. Check it out at www.coachella.com. I can't go to Roo this year cause I'm going to my cousin's wedding in Cali. in May. And therefore all my funds will be tied up in that trip. BUT....Coachella is 2 weeks before his wedding so, I'm seriously considering it. Sure it's more commercial and expensive and blah blah blah. But damn, I don't know if I'll get the chance again. Hmmmmm(rubs goatee)
I'd go in a heartbeat. The lineups usually rival any other US festival for diversity of music styles. 4 month-old baby girl means one festival for me this year, and the 'Roo is at the top of the list (not to mention only a 4-hour drive away).
Man, the lineup this year is another serial killer! I'm hoping New Order will do a full tour in support of the new album. I'd love to go, but won't be able to pull it off. There's a twisted part of me that likes to hear about their $hitty camping situation. It makes me feel a little better about not going.
Feel free to bring your own food and beverages, but unfortunately there will be NO open fires, gas, charcoal, propane or any other cooking devices allowed.

If I was going I would bring in a solar cooker and tell security it was a tanning reflector. ;D
Well, Coachella is a no go. It would just be too much to do, to far to travel(up to Seattle and back) to see my friend. So now the plan for me is to fly Philly to Seattle, then fly to So. Cal., rent a car, and then a little fear and loathing in Las Vegas. Never been there, so I'm REALLY looking forward to that. The week after, I'll be hittin' up San Francisco, where I've also never been. I'd have loved to go to Coachella, or Bonnaroo for that matter, but it's just not in the cards. There's always next year.
