I love hearing about people's favorite toys growing up, cuz it makes me take a happy trip down memory lane! Some toys that I recall with fondness:
* Lemon twist (put your foot through a hoop and then rotate it around in a circle, hopping from one foot to the other; you're sort of jumping rope) * Green machine (preferred it to big wheel -- way better skidding action) * Easy bake -- but I was known to eat the batter before cooking!
I still love a good coloring book and the 64 pack of crayons; luckily I have my niece as cover for my habit. ;D

the lemon twist you are talking about sounds like what we called Skip Its, they were great!
My little ponys I had a teddy Ruxbin tape player Did anyone else have Pillow Pals? Tamagotchi
And I can't remember what they were called but they were like sets of animals that came with habitats some of them had magnets in them. they were popular in like 94. ???
For me it was action figures and matchbox cars. I had GI Joe, Transformers, and the underappriciated M.A.S.K series. Oohhhh and all that Nerf crap. I used to have killer showdowns in my room, with the basketball hoop. I beat Jordan so many times, usually right at the buzzer...."And the crowd goes wild."
I was also a closet Rainbow Bright fan. I would make my mom hide my few pieces of RB contraband whenever my friends would come over. Surprisingly, I had nothing else hiding in the closet as I got older.

The etch a sketch was one of my favorites, played with those a lot, as a kid I always wanted to break one open to see how it worked but never got a chance to. Whenever I see one now I still get the urge to pry it open and look inside. Building plastic model sports cars was always a big source of fun for me. I don’t know if it was just a pure fascination of the cars or the glue that kept me involved with them but I spent way too much time working on those things when I was growing up.

I loved that game. Monolopy was and is an addiction. Hot wheel cars, my big wheel, and anything Dukes of Hazzard. (I refuse to watch the remake. Jessica Simpson is NOT daisy.)

M.A.S.K! About a year ago my mom was going thru my old toys and selling some in a garage sale. She found all my mask action figures and their home base. Needless to say those suckers didn't make it to the garage sale.
He-Man was my Major thing when I was a kid. (I am shameful to even admit that I even own a pair of He-Man boxers that say "I have the Power" on the front)That and any naction figure related to comic books such as super-man ,spider-man and so on.

My friend's mom told me this story once about how the babysitter was a little concerned about him when he was little because he kept sticking his hand up in the air and yelling "I'm Tee man! Master of the Tunaverse!"
I liked some toys (cabbage patch dolls and care bears where a couple of my favorites, oh and my little pony, too), but I probably liked books better, so if you were a dork, I was too!
