I've seen it twice and will see it a few times more in the theater. I haven't geeked out on a movie like this since I was seven (Return of the Jedi).
I was a huge fan of the show and really can't speak to how the movie will play for people who aren't. I think as a stand alone movie it has a lot of clunky exposition at the begining and kind of looks "TV-ish" in just a few parts.
At the end of the day I love these characters and I am blown away and exhilirated by what they get put through in this movie.
It's fun, funny, harrowing, smart and has plenty to say. How many big damn action movies can you say that about?
