Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Who's all going to the last and biggest festival of the year??? Sure would be great to see some fellow ROO bro's and sis's there. ;D We've got tix for Dave Matthews/Tim Reynolds at the Aladdin on that Friday and Ween on Halloween too....
We'd be willing to share expenses for a room that weekend if anyone is interested....especially since it would just be a place to cleanup and flop for the night until the next day's show.
The word I'm hearing is that Clearchannel bought out Superfly's Bonnaroo and that ROO 2006 is the last year... anyone else hear different?
The clearchannel rumor has been going on since the second year of roo. I wouldn't worry about it. Roo's lease in Manchester is up after 06. I read they sold the land to 6 flags, and Superfly is looking to move. Last I heard WV or V might be the place. Nothing solid yet.
It kills me that I can't make it to this, but I will be out of town on business and hopefully my White Sox could be playing in games 6 & 7 of the World Series on that weekend as well .
All I can say is check out Lyrics Born and Blackalicious for me; I've been begging to see them at Bonnaroo for years.
I caught LB in Chicago last weekend and he was pretty incredible, although I actually prefer him with a DJ than with the (excellent) 5 piece band he is touring with now.
I'd love to go, but alas, I've already been to Vegas once this year already. I think one trip per year is all I can handle. I'd say the shins are the must see. I saw them a few months ago and they were just alright. Then I saw them last week, opening for the White Stripes, and they were amazing. Blew my frickin mind. They were actually better than the Stripes, cause I think Jack White was too f*cked up to play properly. I'm sure it'll be one hell of a time. I recommend bringing as much money as you can possibly get your hands on. Cause that place is a black hole for money.
...yeah we saw the White Stripes at Red Rocks last month...awesome show and perfect weather. Last night it was Queens of the Stone Age opening for NIN...WOW!!! We've also been to Coachella, Bonnaroo, Wakarusa music festivals this year so have already seen most of the groups playing at Vegoose...but what a better way to end the music season this year? ;D Should be a fun weekend with it being Halloween and all...not sure yet what costume to wear...but we'll think of something!
;D We got our tix for the weekend and Ween on Monday...who else will be there??? Hopefully we will see you there...come up and say Hi if you see us....we'll be the dude and dudette hippie couple in the inner tube costumes
AWESOME & FUN SHOW!!!!!!...We weren't disappointed...weather was great...prices for T's, food etc. was lower than Bonnaroo...there was more security walking around though I think but we didn't see a reason for it. We'll diffinately go back for Vegoose next year if they put one on. Quite a few wore costumes...we wore ours Sunday and Monday night. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful...a MUST GO TO show for next year ;D
On Saturday we saw: North Mississippi Allstars SCI Phil Lesh & Friends Primus Beck Dave Matthews (Trey A. also played most of the show with him & Warren Hayes stopped by for a tune or two)
On Sunday: moe Sthingy Flaming Lips Jack Johnson The Arcade Fire Widespread Panic
Monday Night: WEEN at The Joint-Hard Rock
Then Tuesday morning we had to leave Vegas at 5:00am for the 12.5 hour trip back to Denver so we could catch Paul McCartney that evening....a long drive but we had a lot to talk about on the trip home ;D
On the Vegoose site there are pix posted, with more to be added later. I still have to work on the ones we took.
