Okay, most of my friends are in law school with me, so I don't want to tell them this because I'm afraid they will just think I'm bragging! And I'm just so excited that telling my boyfriend was not sufficient to satisfy me, so I need to tell some other people. I just found out that one of my professors from this semester and one of my professors from last semester have nominated me for the American Bankruptcy Institute's Medal of Excellence!!! Honestly, I hadn't actually heard of this before, but I'm really, really excited!!!
Okay, now somebody else brag about themselves in some way so I don't feel like I'm just being full of myself!
Congratulations, although I have no idea what that means for you, congrats anyway. As for myself, I got 10 hours of sleep last night!!! That's right read em and weap.

Hilari,
That's great, but as an attorney, let me tell you, Bankruptcy Law is really, really boring. Good luck with that. But since you seem to be into that sort of thing... My warmest congratulations to you.
Since I'm really proud and it has a lawerly spin to it, I'll brag for my wife:
She was named the Constitutional Rights Foundation of Chicago (crfc.org, really cool organization) Teacher of the Year for the work she did with her 6th grade class on Project Citizen (an amazing program) and Lawyers in the Classroom.
Go, Hilari! Good vibes from your profs, feeling good about yourself, and a resume builder ... triple victory.
I've been working my booty off for several months while my boss was on leave plus picking up extra work because we keep getting new "opportunities" that I need to turn into reality. My boss's boss's boss sent me a thank-you email today; that's pretty cool.
This is by far one of my favorite threads on Inforoo, which is funny because it has nothing to do with Bonnaroo at all, but it is just a very positive and good-natured thread. Plus, how often in our everyday lives do people -- aside from our close friends and family -- congratulate us about our accomplishments? Too often it seems those around us are either envious of the accomplishment or their competitiveness inhibits them to be happy for us. Anyways, sorry for the rant. I just think this thread is terrific (Thanks Hilari!). My good news is that I got into Tulane yesterday, which was a nice surprise since I did not think I was going to get in. Now I just have to figure out a way to pay for it ???
Wow! Getting into Tulane is impressive! samhall is right about money -- and just think, with a degree from Tulane, it will be easier to get a great job to pay back anything you have to borrow!!!
