So last year at Bonnaroo was the first time i expierenced the massive throwing of the glowsticks at a Dave Show, and it also happened at the Trey show. It was awesome to watch, especially in that state of mind.
Anyone have any good pictures of it from either show? Maybe even video? There was a couple from the Trey show that pulled off the internet, but they suck.
I know I was recently watching some DVD that captured the visual aspect of a glow stick war really well, but I'm not positive what it is. I know there is some decent footage of Trey in '02 on the Bonnaroo DVD, but I might enhance that with my memory/imagination, because I was standing right next to the camera.
I'm about 75% sure that it was on the Phish "IT" DVD that I recently saw the great footage but I'm not positive. As far as video of Bonnaroo '05 I think you'll need to wait for the DVD.
I've been hit by more than a few glowsticks, and I never throw them, but I have to admit I love it when people do and I would miss it if they stopped. Its a simple thing, but it's pretty impressive visually when it really gets going and is a pretty unique example of audience/performer interaction.

There were more people at the dave show, so the glowstick war was pretty spread out, but at trey, there were probably more glowsticks, and a lot less space, so it made it all the more spectacular. I also 'expierencred a different enhancment' on Friday night than i did saturday night.

One of my buddies that I went with last year might have some pics of the Dave show. I'll see if I can find it for you.

Hahaha! I forgot about the glowsticks! Just don't trip at a show while this is happening... I dropped a bit before the show and when a glowstick hit my head, I thought it was a grenade and that my head had exploded. I could see blood running down into my eyes. Kinda scary, but funny in retrospect.
I've got a GREAT video of the glowstick throwing at the Trey show, but I have no idea how to make it accessable to you guys, if you let me know how I'll post it ASAP.
The sound is horrible, but hey, if you wanna see glowsticks, you're gonna see glowsticks.
Wow man. The sound is indeed horrible, but the video is frickin' awesome. Really feels like you're in the middle of it. Thanks a lot for getting that up kida.
Since resourceful inforooers managed to meet the request for glowstick video, I've got a request for someone more technically inclined than me. Could someone take that video and sync up some Trey sound to it?
EDIT: I just watched it again and had to reiterate that this is some really great video. Man, does that make me want to go to Bonnaroo!
