I got the e-mail about it going onsale for $45. They did this last year before the announced the bands. It will be in Chicago this year in Aug and will be 3 days. Let me know if anyone gets a ticket.
According to the site the 3000 $45 tickets sold out in a half hour. I joined the e-mail list as they said there woudl be more deals to come. Was that for a 3-day pass? Last year I slept on the advance tickets and then when it came around didn't feeling like paying the full price for either day. $45 for three days would be a no-brainer though (as the presale last year was) for a fest like this ten minutes from my house.
I tried to get tickts for the early bird and they went so damn quick. After seeing the lineup from last year I wouldn't mind spending money before the announcment. I am sure you will get some great bands if they are going to have over 100 this year. I just told Aquariem that the Pumpkins name keeps on coming up. Portihead is comiong out with new stuff..could possibly see Radiohead and Beck there as well.
