Since I figure that some of you are college basketball fans, I thought that I would start this up with the conference tourneys going on right now and the 64 next week. Although, this might deserve to be in a off-off-topic board.
Just saw the end to the Cuse/Uconn game and that was pretty amazing. Whoever said McNamara was overrated is crazy. 17 points and 14 assists including the game tying three to go into overtime. Pretty impressive if you ask me.
By the way, let me throw out the "Go Gators" chant. Hopefully, we win the SEC and end up with a 3 seed.
Go Wildcats!! Just watch them turn it on and win the SEC tournament. Actually, I'm pretty sure that ain't gonna happen, but hey, they've won more SEC titles than the rest of the conference combined. I guess it's someone else's turn. At least we'll be keeping the NCAA tourney streak alive.
Watch Ohio State sneak up and get a number one seed now that 'Nova lost tonight. And how many nights is Gerry McNamara gonna hit a game winner? Three games in a row now.
We are ramping up March Madness in a big way. Thurs>Fri was just the beginning! Things are falling right into place for Memphis! GO TIGERS! We have UAB To win the conference tonight (after losing the c-usa final by 2points to louisville last year)

I think that you might be a little upset crazy throwing out Memphis, but I could see Winthrop beat UT. It seems like everyone is in love with UT this year. Or maybe that is just ESPN.

Sorry about that Danbird, but my Gators put a nice little hurting to your guards. I think that Florida really causes match up problems with most teams because of the quickness of their big guys (Noah and Horford specifically). This was magnified against the Nova 4-guard offense. You win against BC was still impressive. Good to knock out the last ACC team.
I am thinking about doing the drive up to Indy (from Atlanta) this weekend to watch my Gators. Anyone know how it is to watch the games at the RCA dome? I was just at the games at the Georgia dome (The Texas/WV game was amazing) so I figure it would be similar to that lay-out. Tickets are a little pricey in the lower deck, but upper deck dome seats are generally awful for basketball.

well my team is michigan, no big dance for us but we are into the finals of the nit....anyone catch that michigan and notre dame game, it was a great one

no way man! you lucky bastard... man i hate people who get to do better shiit then me, that was an amazing game, damn i gotta start goin, a friend went a few years back and got to see notre dame take out duke, and hes the most hardcore irish fan you could ever wanna find, and like most people around here despises duke... lucky bastards!!

Well you missed out man....tickets for all three of the NIT games were going for $10. I was sitting in the section just to the right of the student section, 12 rows up. I was in pretty much the same spot for the UTEP game. I also got to see the Illinois win at home....that was one of the best games I've seen in person.
Should be a good matchup with South Carolina tomorrow, even for the casual fan. UM and USC were probably the two best teams left out of the tourney, and in UM's case at least, they definitely would have made it if not for a rash of injuries. USC has won something like 8 out of their last 10 with the two losses being to Florida by 3 and LSU by 4 (or something like that).
This is also a matchup of the last two NIT champs. Michigan in 04 and S. Carolina in 05.
