Just curious, is anyone else interested in marijuana festivals. I have found a few on the internet. One is at the University of Michigan on April 1st of this year at noon... Info on this is at www.hashbash.com
i have been to hashbash every year since 94... i wouldnt miss it... but it has gone way down hill.... they only give them one hour of rally time on the university...high noon til 1... it is also aboutt he only day of the year that you cant smoke in the diag (the section of campus that it is held in is called the diag).. there are pigs everywhere... they dont really bother ya unless your way outta control... but i wouldnt smoke in front of them... in fact i never smoke on the university during hasbash... when on university property the same oppressive laws that exist most place are in effect... but off campus in ann arbor pot is decriminalized and we often walk down the street passin a j... its a ticket and a fine if yer hassled but i havent been hassled at all off campus.... also the university does not allow vendors on campus anymore.. but they set up down the street... there is prolly only 20 vendors (there used to be like 100) there is also a stage set up there with some local bands jammin.... it is only like a 5 minute walk and friendly people will show you the way...there is also a march through town... it usually starts around 11 or so and ends up in the diag at highnoon...if your coming expecting a huge rally youll probably be dissapointed... if the weather is good it gets a large turn out but nothing spectacular...its definetly worth goin if your near by....also there are bands that do shows the night of hashbash... this year smokestack(a great band you really should check em out, they are on archives.org) and i think galactic is havin a hash bash party that night also... so all in all its a good time...and ann arbor is an awesome town to waste an afternoon in between hashbash and the night time concerts... dont forget to make the couple block walk from the diag over to the head shops... just ask someone the way to stairway to heaven it is a small door between 2 other shops and you go up stairs, and 42 degrees is right around the corner(the sign looks like 42o, with the degree symbol thing) so id say go if yer close but i dunno if i would trave cross country for it but some poeople do.. hope that helps a little

I used to go to festivals here in maine put on by Maine Vocals which is an organization that works with the maine NORML chapter im quite sure and has helped mellow out the marijuana laws over the years here in maine. We're one of the medical states and possession of up to 2 ounces i beleive is possession with a max $400 fine. They throw 3 festivals a summer in starks, me. Freedom Fest, Hempstock and Harvest Fest. Used to go all through highschool it was a HELL of a party too. I havent been up there in awhile but i dont think its as good as it used to be. I was up there last summer and it was mad rained out all weekend though so i dunno...
ahh a buckeye fan!!!... just the fact that yer in this forum means ya got better taste in music then ya do in college sports and id take an AA party over osu anyday...although i do like the fact that there is 2 bw3 s within a couple blocks of eachother

ann arbors a whore! hempfest at OSU rocks! (relatively)
To bad no ones going to listen to a bunch of (what others in society call) "Dirty Hippies" I fully support this issue but a bunch of college kids screaming to legalize doesnt really do much for anyone. I enjoy the OSU hempfest but IMO it doesnt really help the cause at all unfortunatly.
