My wife is a somewhat picky beer drinker. She does not enjoy standard canned beer (coors light, bud, miller, etc) and usually drinks New Castle, Bass or any other beers that i am yet to see in cans. Obviously this is normally not a problem, but with the "no glass bottles" rule at the roo I thought I would solicit your advice. Can anyone recommend a good canned beer she might like? No go on Guiness or Heineken, she is not a fan of other. She likes Honey Brown and Amberbach and Killians, but I have never seen them canned. Please post your suggestions, or if you have none, some ideas how we might get this kind of beer at Bonnaroo (IE does someone there sell it?)
Getting bottled brew in isn't a major hassle, bury them at the bottom of the cooler. There's always beer for sale among the tents and in centeroo (there's a microbrew tent). I'm in Knoxville, which is the 7th or 8th circle of hell as far as decent beer goes so I can't really help you on good canned beer. I've had Dale's Pale Ale (don't know where it's from) which is very good and is supposedly avail in cans (although not where I am). Leo
My favorite beer, and its sold primarily in cans. Thicker than your average beer, but still light (not stout) and not overly hoppy. Grab a four pack and give it a try before taking it to 'roo. Well now that you've got me thinking about it, I've gotta go grab one...
Jeeze Clark, I almost forgot about that (or just blocked it). Yeah, if you use dry ice (which I'm questioning the wisdom of) DO NOT allow your beer to come in direct contact with it. It won't go well... at all. Throw a towel or three in between the CO2 and the brews. Leo p.s. We's always gots a couple of beers for you Clark, see you in June.

This was my thought also.
I brought a few with me to Roo last year and while it was a nice departure, I tend to prefer the domestic watery stuff when it's 90 degrees and I've been on my feet for 24 hours.
Umphreak's dead on, you can't go wrong with Yuengling, it's a little sweet, but I've found it actually tastes better out of a can than a bottle anyways.

Pabst Blue Ribbon...mmm boy!
now I like pabst and I go to a few rock n roll bars that serve this on tap, and I drink it from the tap. But I only made the mistake of getting it out of the can once. That was terrible out of the can. Then it got a little warm and I didn't go any further.
But it is so cheap. Nothing taste better than a Pabst at 1:45 AM after scrounging all the change you can find and still being able to buy 2 half-racks. Good Times! ;D
they make PBR in a bottle! i thought it was all canned, good point on the hot weather and wattered down beer being a cozy choice. Old Chub is a great canned beer that we get out here
