i loved it too... first time i heard "world wide suicide" and the lyrics are so fucking true... arguing for a revolution... honestly it makes me sick, anyone with half of a brain knows that the world is going to shit and the way that most humans are living today is not the way it should be... we need to find a better way
I am one of those people that hates Pearl Jam...I hated Ten, I hated Vitalogy. I hated those 432 live albums they released. And yet...I like their new stuff. I liked their SNL performance. Eddie Vedder no longer grates on me like nails on a chalkboard. Can't put my finger on it, but something seems different about those guys now.

Ive always loved them but i agree something does seem different - maybe they are more mature now? duno
I caught the first song which I liked but I couldn't stay awake for the second one (hey, I had to work in the a.m.).
Duderz, you're right they have changed. Considering the fact that PJ can never hold on to a drummer their sound is bound to evolve somewhat over the years.
I actually liked the second song quite a bit, but that's just me.
And hey- they've held onto this drummer for eight years, so that's a pretty good stretch.
Last year they were giving the live concerts of their lives. Seriously, they are at the absolute top of their game right now- which is really saying something for a band that's been together for more than 15 years.

they keep growing. their new cd is going to be amazing. its a little more aggresive and socially aware than their last album (which was already pretty aggresive and socially aware). eddie is singing better, but i always loved him. hell i just love everything
