This will surely be a sign of the Gen X and older crowd in here, but I'm really proud of my two year old daughter and wanted to see what other parents were here.
She's not old enough to Roo (yet) but s soon as she is, she'll be ready.
Any other parents in here? Are your kids into music?
Not a parent yet but watching parents with their children is something that always catches my attention while at 'Roo. I think it's so cool that parents bring their kids to 'roo. I definitely plan on taking my children to see live music when that time comes.
I have an 8 year old and one that will be 6 on April 27th. Cameron and Taylor. They both enjoy Phish, but *LOVE* Oysterhead. Hand Cameron (8) my Ipod and he immediately pulls up The Grand Pecking Order for a sing-a-long. I took them to see Trey Anastasio for the first time back in October, and they loved it. They haven't been to the Roo yet, and Cam wants to go b/c of Oysterhead. But he is too young. I would like to bring them, but the Roo is a long weekend, and not one ideal for children. I'll wait until they are both in double-digits, and if Roo is still going then, I'll bring 'em along. But there are too many adult things going on there to have to expose young kids too, imo
I would bring my daughter as young as 5 IF we were in VIP. But in no other situation.
That's awesome about your kids being into Oysterhead. My daughter's only 2 but loves all things Jack Johnson, They Might Be Giants, most big Pearl Jam anthems (concert-enders like their cover of "Rockin' in a Free World") and likes watching my concert DVD's.

i have a 10 year old. he is really into quiet riot right now and has decided on a mohawk... he also loves the beastie boys, john butler, rage, guster, dave and many more (unfortunatly some of that new radio crap but i was into it at his age too) i was thinking about trying to take him to 10klf but i have never been so i wanna check it out first. i would take him to roo but their policy is 6 and under free 10klf is 12 and under. i am planning on taking him to gotv(also 12 and under for free) ive heard it is samller and generally more kid friendly plus he also loves north mississippi allstars
