I'm not sure if I know that one right off the bat. I have PLENTY of 80's favs:
Mexican Radio - Wall of Voodoo (they should play bonnaroo) Devo - Swelling Itching Brain Kool Moe Dee - I Go To Work Tears for Fears - Mad World, Head Over Heels song (don't know the name) Simple Minds - Dont' You Forget About Me and of course............The Safety Dance.
You have to respect the 80's for the synthesizer, if nothing else

ahh, the 80'w..tons of guilty (or not-so-guilty) pleasures
rockwell - sombody's watchin me any tears for fears hit. thomas dolby - she blinded me with science duran duran - rio, hungry like the wolf mike & mechanics - the living years a-ha - take on me gary wright - dreamweaver (i think this is 80's) sunglasses at night - i forget who sings this..corey something? madness - our house....in the middle of the street.
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." - H. L. Mencken
Lets not forget: Huey Lewis and the News - I wanna a new drug, its hip to be square. The Pointer Sisters - Neutron Dance Ratt - Round and Round That Axel F song from Beverly Hills Cop That Oh Yeah song from Ferris Buellers.
tears for fears - head over heels howard jones - things could only get better
there's something monumental, grandiose, and epic about these two songs that gets me every time. even when contemporary songs can accurately be described as monumental, grandiose, or epic, it's still just not quite the same.

I often ponder how incredibly great it must have been to be a sax player in the 1980's. It was like "The Decade of the Sax" in popular music. There are SO MANY songs that have a sax solo. I also ponder how that happened for no apparent reason...

Ooo my little pretty one, pretty one when you gonna give me some time Sharona ohh you make my motor run, motor run, gun it coming off of the line Sharona
Nobody has yet mentioned "Where The Streets Have No Name" by U2...come to think of it, we could go on and on about the stuff U2 did all through the 80s..."I Will Follow"; "Bad"; "One"...
Of course the Boss was more Boss in the 70s than the 80s, but lest we forget, he did make the 'Nebraska' album in 82 or so, let's pick "Reason To Believe" from that...his live "Trapped" was pretty cool, too...
I'd mention "Red Rain" and "Biko" from Peter Gabriel...
...any Little Steven (sort of an underground pick, I know) but let's pluck one from each US record he made in the 80s: "Under The Gun" from 'Men Without Women', "Undefeated" from 'Voice Of America' and "Sanctuary" from 'Freedom - No Compromise'...
...Give me Neil Young's live "Rockin' In The Free World" (the one where the audience joins in at the end)...
...Robbie Robertson of course, let's take "Broken Arrow"...
Mellencamp and Petty were just getting started, how about "Hurt So Good" and "American Girl", now we can party...
poison - loooking for nothing but a good time motley crue - kickstart my heart iron maiden - run to the hills queen - who wants to live forever skinny puppy - stairs and flowers pink floyd - momentary lapse of reason salt n peppa - push it (i think?!) ton loc - funky cold medina ??? - dont worry, be happy c&c music factory - gonna make you sweat
i could keep writing this list for like, another 2 hours.
