im from chicago, and i was considering summer camp this year, but the dough is definitely short, and the extra fee for the late night sets is a turn off. Have any of you guys hit it up before? What y'all think? the line up looks pretty nice this year.
i have friends that have been and they love it. they go there every year and skip the big festies cuz they dont like the walking and all of the hassels of a huge festival like roo. i hate the extra fees for shows crap... that really sucks..but all in all id say make it if you can. i know id be going if i could afford it
If I lived closer I would definitely go. It really does suck that you have to actually buy additional tickets for latenight. I also don't like the idea that everyone who paid for a ticket to summercamp isn't assured of latenight tickets since they usually sell out pretty quick. The lineup looks great though and I would love to hit a festival where Umphrey's and moe. get multiple sets.
Summer Camp just announced it's latenight schedule today and they have got one of the sickets looking latenight sets I've ever seen.

Split Squad 1 Featuring: Joel, Chuck, Jake, Andy, Vinnie, and Ryan
And
Split Squad 2 Featuring: Al, Brendan, Rob, Jim, and Kris
For those that don't know, Brendan, Jake, Andy, Ryan, Joel, and Chris are Umphrey's McGee and Chuck, Rob, Al, Jim, Vinnie are moe. I guess these squads will be alternating sets.
