What does U-melt sound like? I keep seeing on the pt bisco board (pimping themselves usually though)
U-Melt is kind of a progressive trance fusion jamband out of NYC... Sort of like Disco Bicuits/Pnuma Trio/Lotus/Perpetual Groove... Its bass, drums, guitar and keys. Very original, great songs, trippy lyrical content and good vocal style... These guys are coming up in a big way, check out their Myspace to hear three of their staples... www.myspace.com/umelt 415 and Skizophrenia quickly became two of my favs...
They just released their debut album, "The Unbeleivable Meltdown" they're on www.archive.org/ they've only been playing together for 2 years and they've already gotten ALOT of press and tour constantly... They actually met and jammed out at the IT festival and have been playing together since. They're popping up on alot of festivals this summer including Summer Camp, Gathering of the Vibes, hopefully 10k Lakes and a few smaller ones...
The first time i saw them was at a rained out tiny Hempstock 15 in starks Maine and they basically RIPPED it up for like 25 peoples, i know alot of people were listening from camp because of the rain but i was hooked and i've seen em a few times since then, opening for Tea Leaf Green even...
